Perhaps because if he really is from California he’d have to pay non resident rates, which would make sense why he’d apply to 4 California colleges since he’d get the residency discount.

For many years now grades in high school are weighted. Meaning if you take advanced classes like AP English, physics, and such your A will be = to 5 instead of 4. This help separate the easy A types. My sons grades were like that.
Part of this turd’s learning process. The folks that used him as a useful idiot don’t think he’s diverse enough to go to a top university. He should skip college and lifetime student loan debt, get a job, and pay taxes for a while. He’ll be a Trump supporter in no time!

I worked for a company that loved to hire kids who took the CPA exam & passed it the first time, right out of college. While passing the entire CPA exam the first time you take it is a significant accomplishment, most of these kids did not work out as employees. They were “book” smart, but had no common sense and when it came time to apply what they had ‘learned’ (other than working a problem on paper) and exercising ‘people’ & communication skills (totally necessary in the job we were doing), they did not have those skills
Hogg is ‘book’ smart, but his common sense (for sure) & his ‘people’ skills (if separated from his role as a front man for liberal anti-gun groups) are woefully lacking. He’s an unlikeable, entitled brat with a nasty mouth. If he were other than book smart, he’d do his research and see that he’s on the wrong side of the true issues when it comes to school safety. The fact that he cannot see the hypocrisy of his stance on gun control (depriving people who have done nothing of their Constitutional rights) versus the clear back packs now required at his school (about which he’s complaining bitterly that he’s being punished by having to use one when he did nothing ), shows that his reasoning powers/common sense are in short supply. He’s a TOOL and dumb enough to allow himself to be used as one.

Some AP Classes are an easy A and the hs students know which ones they are. My daughter took AP human ecology to get the weighted grade. EASY A. The colleges can look at a class schedule and know that kid is a slider.
