The Rocklin kindergarten teacher who was engulfed in a firestorm of criticism after she read a book about a transgender child during story time in June was named teacher of the year Monday by the California Charter Schools Association much to the consternation of some conservative groups.

Religious schools draw upon the same pool of politically correct "education major" graduates as public schools.
CA will always be the land of Fruits and Nuts.
Home school is the answer.

And my third choice is voucher, so we can pay for our home school materials.
But I digress.
That depends on the school. My Baptist church has an attached Christian school and the teachers are all very devout religiously and conservative in world view. Some may have an education degree but I know all don’t. But I understand your point that you can’t trust a school just because it calls itself a religious school - you still have to do your homework on the place first.
The indoctrination begins in pre-K.

Wow, a blatant sexual abuse of young children by a sex offender that serves as a teacher. This psycho deserves life.
This happened in a CHARTER school?! I thought they were somewhat saner than the union-run public schools. Why people continue to put their children in public schools astounds me.

Now many have no fathers and are babysat by the school, TV and the computer.
I’ve had some issues with my kid’s Christian school, but I’ve gone in enough times that now when they see me coming, they scatter like cock roaches.
The Alberta government is going hard against this and other schools like it, so it may be homeschooling in September. It’s a big inconvenience, but kids are worth it.
That teacher looks possessed, is this the one in question?
