Eric Holder, California to Sue Trump Admin Over Reinstating Citizenship To Census
Blunt Force Truth via GP ^ | 03/27/18 | Kristinn Taylor

The Trump administration announced Monday night it will be reinstating a citizenship question to the decennial census in 2020, prompting threats of lawsuits by prominent Democrats.

Former Obama Attorney General Eric Holder and California Attorney General Xavier Becerra separately announced they will file respective lawsuits to stop the citizenship question from being asked during the census.

Holder’s statement called the move by the Trump administration a “direct attack on our representative democracy.”

Becerra called the decision, “illegal.”

The Commerce Department, which oversees the census, issued a statement announcing the decision:

Today, the U.S. Department of Commerce announced that a question on citizenship status will be reinstated to the 2020 decennial census questionnaire to help enforce the Voting Rights Act (VRA).

California is doomed unless progressive voter importing activists get the electoral college repealed. Why keep importing more overheads unless your plan is to disperse them as needed to states where the Democrat votes are needed? Like to use California as a swat force of last minute votes.

So What.Let California take legal action. The American People have the Right to know how many legal and illegal alians we have among us.

How else are we to plan our public spending bills?

Good to see this move by the Trump Administration to protect our votes from illegals.
The Democrats whine about "foreign intervention" in our elections but see no problem in foreigners voting.

Now the Dems want foreigners to be counted during the census so they can get back in power.
Notwithstanding the humongous amt of money Hillary took from China and Saudi Arabia.

The Dems are desperate.....counting in foreigners would give them more Congressional seats.....and more power.
Americans would be at their mercy if they get back in power.
The Dems would "owe" foreigners. Payback at the expense Americans would be an atrocity.

Factor in:

<><> Obama and his Chicago mobsters took over the census (and the US Treasury) when they landed in DC.

<><> Obama's continuing influx of foreigners calculatedly resettles them in electoral college states.

“direct attack on our representative democracy.” .....

If you are NOT a citizen, are you “entitled” to representation? Since those two bozo attorneys are obviously filing within the 9th Circuit district, need we think Trump will win?

How is it that the question was legal and Constitutional for 130 years but not now?

It is constitutional to include questions in the decennial census beyond those concerning a simple count of the number of people. On numerous occasions, the courts have said the Constitution gives Congress the authority to collect statistics in the census.

As early as 1870, the Supreme Court characterized as unquestionable the power of Congress to require both an enumeration and the collection of statistics in the census.

The Legal Tender Cases, Tex.1870; 12 Wall., U.S., 457, 536, 20 L.Ed. 287. In 1901, a District Court said the Constitution’s census clause (Art. 1, Sec. 2, Clause 3) is not limited to a headcount of the population and “does not prohibit the gathering of other statistics, if ‘necessary and proper,’ for the intelligent exercise of other powers enumerated in the constitution, and in such case there could be no objection to acquiring this information through the same machinery by which the population is enumerated.” United States v. Moriarity, 106 F. 886, 891 (S.D.N.Y.1901).

Eric Holder has no standing in the case.

Neither does the California. I wonder why they think they do.

This is just another instance of litigious demonicrats throwing crap against the wall to see what will stick.

There needs to be known the actual, factual and true numbers of CITIZENS. It's CITIZENS that are represented by House and Senate representatives. House representative amounts are based on CITIZEN population so of course CA will be panicking.

Being a layman (that's sexist!) genealogist I've viewed many a census. Since 1850 they have asked standard questions including - where were you born and where were your parents born for everyone on the census down to infants.

Of course the left is skewing this as non-standard when it has been the standard for decades.

Maybe general Holder you and the usurper should have left the census up to the Commerce Department as it was instead of gaming the system and bringing it under direct White House control, Payback’s a b!tch.

And, since the census determines congressional seats for 10 years, census takers should be allowed to go to Mexico to count how many people plan or hope to be California residents within the next decade. They certainly deserve representation in congress when they get here. And they will need representation if they get here illegally and require legislation to stay. /sarc

“Holder’s statement called the move by the Trump administration a “direct attack on our representative democracy.””

Our representative REPUBLIC only represents citizens, Holder.
Illegal aliens have no right to determine the government, laws, who represents it, nor do they have the right to vote.
You cannot illegally enter a country and expect to vote, no nation that wishes to remain sovereign does this.

So the two thirds population in the census that you use to get electoral vote positions is invalid for that purpose. Using non citizens to falsely represent the total of American voters for a larger voting share IS Illegal. Not asking is duplicity.

Eric Holder should be in prison for his Gun smuggling, not filing frivolous lawsuits to promulgate a Marxist Agenda.

California has a least five more Congressional districts than it should because illegal aliens are counted in the census.

In other words, California has at least five more Electoral votes than it should.

LOL standard procedure
“Words” = different meaning for different folks.

It is remembered when HOLDER was easily embraced by the senate when confirmed and given his cushy chair. The GOP-e not once batted an eyelash in accepting this individual. Ay Caramba!

The United States Census is a decennial census mandated by Article I, Section 2 of the United States Constitution, which states: “Representatives and direct Taxes shall be apportioned among the several States ... according to their respective Numbers ... . The actual Enumeration shall be made within three Years after the first Meeting of the Congress of the United States, and within every subsequent Term of ten Years.” The United States Census Bureau (officially the Bureau of the Census, as defined in Title 13 U.S.C. § 11) is responsible for the United States Census.

Becerra called the decision, “illegal.”

I prefer to think of the decision as “undocumented”.

Love it!!!!

The Dems are desperate.....counting in foreigners would give them more Congressional seats.....and more power.

Let's not forget that one of the first things Obama did was to move the Census bureau from Treasury to direct control by the White Hut. So, from a government agency to a political tool.
