I wonder what would happen if La Raza demanded that all areas with a Hispanic population be separated from the US?
What would happen if La Raza formed a California Liberation Organization, or a La Raza Liberation Organization?
What would happen if La Raza formed a cooperating alliance (umbrella group) with BLM, OWS, Antifa, and the socialist organizations in the US?
What would happen if this umbrella group demanded that the Second Amendment be repealed, and the Constitution replaced?
What would happen if this umbrella group also demanded that the President be impeached, and all law enforcement officers be disarmed?
What would happen if one of the major political parties. and the MSM took up the call for all of the above?

What will happen here...unless the Supremes tell Trump he can’t do this...is that a under-count will occur in blue-states (highly dependent on population counts to get more House members).
I don’t think any foundation has ever done a research project like this....to say that the citizen count in California is only 90-percent of ‘all’ citizen count would be. If this were true in states like NY, California, Texas, and Florida...then they’d all lose a minimum of two House members each.
But the other thing is that the procedure used to build the gerrymandering maps for placement of House members, would also come into play very quickly. Judges would then be forced to accept the citizen question and I would take a guess that 50-percent of all districts would end up being redrawn because of accusations.

The census has long been perverted from its original mission of enumeration. With the scores of non-germane questions already asked, I don’t know the basis of the objection to asking about citizenship. Unless they are afraid the revelation that 11 million is ridiculously fake.

The left is worried that the Trump administration will quantify the dollar cost per citizen of keeping illegals in the country. When voters find out it is costing several thousand dollars out of their pockets, every year, their tolerance for democrat concern for illegal aliens will collapse.

Actually, yes, and it’s always been that way.
The census counts citizens, non-citizen residents, and long-term non-citizen visitors. Unfortunately, it also counts illegal aliens.
Now, since they’re here illegally, they should just be deported, or else a way should be found to let them establish themselves in one of the other three categories above.
Instead, they’re just counted along with everyone else and, yes, given representation in both Congress and the Electoral College.
I’m not even certain that the Supreme Court would rule otherwise, given precedent, so the obvious answer is to control our borders and eject anyone here illegally who can’t be sorted into one of the other categories by legal means.
Absent that, plan on CA having at least one more EV and Congressman than it should and, not so incidentally, one other state (probably a red state) having one less of each than it should.
If one is asked by a census-taker if one is an Alien, how should Space Aliens reply?
Electoral college is based upon the census. Of course Kalifonia wants their illegals counted.
