FRANKFORT, Ky. The U.S. Senate's top leader said Monday he wants to bring agricultural hemp production back into the national mainstream by removing it from the list of controlled substances.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell told a group of hemp advocates in his home state of Kentucky that he will introduce legislation to legalize the crop as an agricultural commodity. The versatile crop has been grown on an experimental basis in a number of states in recent years.
"I believe hemp has a bright future in our state," McConnell said. "It's now time to take the final step and make this a legal crop for every state that wants to file a plan with the U.S. department of agriculture."

I thought so, but the relationship is just too close to not think that the pot heads won’t run with it.
Amazing aren’t they? These are the people we have in control. Sessions talks about bump stocks, McConnell talks about hemp legalization, all non stories and not even in the realm of dire important issues
Great one sentence summary of the last 40 odd years of American history.
Harlan county?
ANYWHERE THEY CAN HIDE IT FROM ‘THE MAN’....................
Crazy O’Connell.
These politicians do NOT push for something unless they getting a cut somewhere or somehow......
That said, McConnell has to go ... like yesterday!
McConnell stabbed Trump in the back with this latest bill; but now he is going to fight to get hemp legalized. It’s about priorities.

And it’s the same with the wildwood weed.
One day this feller from Washington came by,
And he spied it and turned white as a sheet.
Then they dug and they burned,
And they burned and they dug,
And they killed all our cute little weeds.
Then they drove away,
We just smiled and waved
Sittin’ there on that sack of seeds!
Was just watching the ill informed make asses out of themselves. I’ve had a hemp shirt for a good 20 years.
Same as people think I an crazy for drinking sumac "lemonade" because they don't know the difference between staghorn sumac and poison sumac
