A US Army veteran who served two tours in Afghanistan has been deported to Mexico, US Immigration and Customs Enforcement said.
The deportation follows an earlier decision by US authorities to deny Miguel Perez's citizenship application because of a felony drug conviction, despite his service and the PTSD he says it caused.
Perez, 39, was escorted across the US-Mexico border from Texas and handed over to Mexican authorities Friday, ICE said in a statement.

“... Anchor baby “
No! If he was born in Mexico, he’s not an anchor baby. He’s a DREAMER, and has no citizenship. Kinda shows you that this DREAMER stuff is largely BS.
PTSD is a really big basket diagnosis. Seems to be used as rationale for many actions. Surprised Billy Jeff Clinton didn’t offer it...living with “that woman” HRRC would be real trauma!
Well said.
Yeah I think so, too. Obviously somebody who was serious about getting it moved.
Now, he’ll be closer to the home office though it’s probably South America.
Not an “anchor baby”
I smell a ‘rat.
I agree. It’s bad enough that he is an illegal but then whining about what he”saw” in Afghanistan. What the hell did you think you’d see? The Rose parade? My son was deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan with the 82nd in 02 and 03, he is doing fine. I am sorry but I think this PTSD is way overplayed.
Bull. Thats one scummy lawyer to even try that ploy. Mexicans regularly join the military to be trained in unit operations, weapons proficiency, and as a source to steal equipment from. He knew esactly what he was doing and it was never for our country.
“...he had 2 POUNDS of coke...”
30 grams will get you the death penalty in Singapore.
“Anchor baby “
Nope. He was born in Mexico. He is
an illegal alien. Anchor babies are born
HERE as a product of two illegal aliens.
Misinterpreted 14th.
If he was shipped back to the States
for the one month period, his service
would reflect two tours. As, when they
return, most times its to a different
area/base.
So joined in 2001 and had a General discharge a 2004 for smoking pot on base
Then sold 2 pounds of coke to an undercover cop in 2010 and sentence to 15 years in prison ..let out early and deported
Illegal mexican felon deported back to mexico after surviving through two tours of duty in Afghanistan because it was safer there than in Ciudad Juarez.
There.
I fixed it.
Dont do or sell drugs, OK?
It is absolutely insane to allow illegal aliens in the armed forces in the first place.
Had a Canadian friend with an American wife and kid who got popped for a minor pot bust as a teen (19) who was deported due to it after spending 20 years here as an upstanding part of the community.
Our military surprisingly allows foreigners to serve in it. As a vet; I don’t get that at all.
A navy vet went to prison for taking a GD picture!!!
Felony drug conviction means he was a dealer!!!
