I mentioned more pix would be posted so folks would know to look if they were interested. I don’t like to just fill up folks’ ping pages when they might not want me to. They might be looking for pings to other threads. That’s why I don’t ping to posted tunes.

They do have a nice treasure trove already and there’s still a LOT more to come up from Tupelo.

That would be rather intimidating in the dim light...to see that soldier first thing.

You’re welcome, Kathy.

It really isn’t all that much work. There are just SO MANY to work with. I’ve put a small dent in the mountain. LOL
There are more on display than I posted and more hanging upstairs to be put out later.

I have the easy job. The guys who are sorting through all the other stuff and deciding where they want to put it have the hard job. :-)

Yes, there are a LOT of FReepers and many are veterans or simply supportive of our military.
There are a lot of cool museums across the country and now there’s one more to add to the list. :-)

WOW!! Visitors from all over!

Hopefully some day you will get to see the previous guest books. They should be quite a read.

I almost wet my pants laughing as he told me about it. I already knew the story, as Hubby’s cousin had told me about it last weekend. But to hear it today the way he told it was hilarious. He was laughing, too, but he obviously wasn’t laughing at the time. I imagine the guy who’d left it at the door got a reaming. LOL

Just trying to be nice and not overdo it in pings - - just put the “teaser” out there. LOL

Glad you enjoyed the pix. I want to go up there one day to just get pix but that will have to wait a little while. They just opened back up but only on Saturdays for now. My time up there then will be to work.

Yes, it was great to see the different states represented and one of these days I’ll ask to peek at some of the other guest books. It’ll be neat to see the numbers from out of state as they increased. And I’ll keep an eye on it each time I go up there too. It’s a new museum and it’s fun watching it grow.

Quite the shock for those who rely on themselves for safety issues.

Only funny after the fact. LOL!

No kidding! I’d have soiled my britches if I’d been the one to open the door on that statue. LOL! It is a rather menacing pose to begin with.

But it’s a pretty cool display with the right surroundings ....... and away from the door.
