Harvard University is expanding course evaluations to allow students to report professors who say offensive things in class or make them feel uncomfortable.
The update to the Q Guide, the online course evaluation system at Harvard, was announced Thursday night by Dean of Undergraduate Education Jay M. Harris, at a town hall convened to discuss the power dynamic between students and professors at the elite Ivy League institution.
When an attendee at the town hall mentioned a system for reporting offensive remarks already in place at Harvards School of Public Health, Mr. Harris said administrators are working to add a similar question to course evaluations.

Similar to the former USSR, what could go wrong?
I’ve seen this movie.
It doesn’t end well.............
Buncha fags.
I guess I better remove the phrase “pop-quiz” from my vocabulary while in class.
Hitler Yutes.
The submmission box will be full of complaints about Marxist professors demeaning the flag, the military, the country, etc.
This thing’s not going to work out the way people think it will. :-D
Red Guards!
Little brother is watching you.
Let me guess, it applies only to the SJW types. Conservatives need not bother.
They were already immersed in this crap 30 yrs ago! A Harvard historian was teaching 19th century history and made the mistake of reading from a slave owner’s diary, in class, to explain something about the era. He ended up getting blasted all over for the “insensitivity” of it all... in a HISTORY class.
They’ve already been there,
and done just that.
Students across the board have figured out if you want certain bothersome teachers either gone or severely hobbled career-wise, just accuse them of some type of abuse.
Once you are accused of makin’ stuff up, you can play the traumatized card. This has already been figured out and passed on in the lower grades. Especially for male teachers.
Students once attended college to learn
Now they already know it all before they attend college.
Yet they still attend because they are dedicated to showing others the error of their ways (and thoughts).
And holding them accountable.
Sometimes facts are offensive. Should we not teach what may offend people? It is this kind of thinking that causes damage across all forms of academia. Even in medicine, doctors and researchers are reluctant to study why certain conditions have a racial disparity or why medications are more effective in certain demographics.
A dystopian tale of boys trying to govern themselves ending in dangerous, unintended consequences.
What the hale could go wrong with the "tails" wagging the dog?
What a bunch of liberal bunk. You know this will not go well.
This is going to be fantastic.
I will live to actually see liberal Harvard go down in flames.
Gotta go get popcorn.
We have come a long way from the days when students had fears about a professor such as the one in Paper Chase.
First, they’ll have to compile an extensive list of all the insults conservative students cannot claim make them uncomfortable.
A double edged sword.
Socialism just keeps marching and marching and marching.
It’s easy to win when you have no opposition. :)
