Two students at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School have been arrested today for bringing weapons to school. A third student is being evaluated for making online threats.
The first student, 18-year-old Jordan Salter, was arrested after pulling a two-inch black knife from her bra after a disagreement with another student took place, the Sun Sentinel reported.
The second student, Gavin Stricker, 17, allegedly brandished a knife on the school bus earlier in the day.
On top of everything else, a Broward County deputy was placed on administrative leave for allegedly sleeping on the job.

There was a time when the dean had a drawer full of confiscated knives. There were no arrests and no news stories about it. Usually the parents or the student could pick up the knife after school.
Never would have happened if congress passed David Hogg’s gun safety proposals.
Is that school a knife free zone?
It is not the weapon it’s the child address the problem. My daughter was stabbed by a boy with a protractor years ago. These kids are crying out for help. We need more mr. rogers and less progressive programs of confusion.

Oh, I see they’ve changed their policy and they are now having kids arrested who commit crimes on school grounds. Wonder why?

....it’s probably the way it’s always been....but the school and sheriff azsol can’t play with the Odungo numbers this time...
Were the knives fully semi-auto? Did they have high capacity clippy magazines?
We need common sense knife reform. No one really needs a 4” knife, it’s not like you’re going to hunt with it. Raise the legal age to own such a deadly weapon to 21! Oh yeah, this is all the fault of the NKA, and must be stopped!

I just watched Goodfellas,one of my all time favorite films,for about the 50th time the other day.I'm always struck by the scene where Karen,Henry Hill's wife,sticks a pistol into the front of her underwear as the police were raiding the house.My reaction is always.."ouch,that's gonna leave a mark" .

What the hell are they teaching these little snowflakes in school that makes them want to shoot up their schools and kill their classmates? Communism? Nazism? Enough is enough It’s time to start shutting down these asylums of indoctrination.

And our constantly increasing property taxes are paying for all of this.
A 2 inch blade knife?
I was 8 years old when I received my first Cub Scout knife, and I think it had a 2-1/2 inch blade (and a can opener, awl and screwdriver.)
...or at least a couple of sub sandwiches.
I’m fifty-three years old and remember a kid winning a shotgun in a school raffle or contest in sixth grade.
