Mohamed Noor and Justin Damond.
Good!
Charge with aggravated manslaughter, under color of authority.
Didn’t a murder overcharge allow the jury to absolve the politically favored illegal killer of Kate Steinle?
Oh... I see they included manslaughter. It’s up to the prosecution to include enough detail for the manslaughter charge if murder doesn’t stick.
The lesson here is don’t call the cops for any reason.
Never should have been a cop in the first place. Pure affirmative action hire.
#White Lives Matter.
It only took 8 months for something that should have taken a couple of weeks.
There is no evidence that Officer Noor encountered, appreciated, investigated or confirmed a threat that justified the decision to use deadly force, according to charges cited by the Star Tribune.
Instead, Officer Noor recklessly and intentionally fired his handgun from the passenger seat, a location at which he would have been less able than Officer Harrity to see and hear events on the other side of the squad car.
Dirty, filthy cop.
About time. He is a disgrace to real LE professions everywhere.
Good, as it should be. I have heard nothing about this case for a year and I assumed it would be swept behind the blue wall of secrecy. It is great that a cop who panicked and negligently shot and killed an innocent person is going to be tried for his crime.
I am very pro LEO and I think most are good guys worthy of our support, until they cover up for the few bad apples. The best way for police to strengthen my support for them is to quit covering for bad cops or covering for good cops who make a stupid or flawed mistake. Cops should not be above the law when they screw up.
I feel badly for the cop but not nearly as badly as I feel for the family of the murdered woman. This cop has to pay for his crime of negligence. We need to get past the long time when cops get off scott free for doing things we would go to prison for.
The authorities are doing the right thing. I have to applaud them for trying this cop for his mistake. It was murder, even if only in the 3rd degree or manslaughter, but he did negligently kill her. He has to take his punishment.
