Also, my gut instinct says Lois Lerner is cooperating with Session's outside prosecutor. This is why he did not go after her.

Why did Sessions choose him as Deputy Attorney General? I don't think he did. Rosenstein had a stellar record which is why President Donald J. Trump announced his intention to nominate Mr. Rosenstein on January 31, 2017.
That stellar record has become somewhat tainted now though.
