Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein gave a resume to the Senate Judiciary Committee for his confirmation to be Deputy Attorney General. In that resume, provided under oath, he falsely stated the dates at which he worked for Ken Starr’s investigative legal team.
Rosenstein testified to the Senate that he worked on Starr’s team beginning in 1995 and ending in 1997. Rosenstein said that he began working at the U.S. Attorney’s office in Maryland for the Clinton administration in the year 1997. However, records show that Rosenstein interviewed Hillary Clinton for Ken Starr in the Whitewater case on January 14, 1998.
Rosenstein’s official interview with Hillary Clinton lasted fifteen minutes and cleared her of charges stemming from the seizing of FBI documents on the former Clinton White House travel director.

This really is a nothing burger if it’s based on dates. He said he ended a job in 2017 when it really ended Jan 14, 2018? Big whoop. There a bigger things to get him on than this petty garbage.

Sessions did...Trump appointed him on Sessions’ recommendation. Of course Trump didn’t know that Rosenstein would become the defacto AG because of Sessions’ treachery.

Also, Sessions has repeatedly praised and defended his DAG, Rod Rosenstein, when he has come under scrutiny. IOW, Sessions fully backs what rosenstein is doing. Especially with mueller's special counsel coup.

I don't think he did. Rosenstein had a stellar record which is why President Donald J. Trump announced his intention to nominate Mr. Rosenstein on January 31, 2017.
That stellar record has become somewhat tainted now though.

Sessions did. If people haven’t realized it by now, Sessions insinuated himself into the Trump campaign as a means of a control for the swamp.
The guilty look on his face and his actions tell the story.
Technically, Rosenstein is a George H.W Bush, William Jefferson Clinton, George W. Bush, Obama holdover, as he served in various high level positions in Justice during each of their Presidencies.
