Quick! Somebody pass the smelling salts to CNN's Presidential Historian Douglas Brinkley.
He went full blown hysterical on CNN's Tonight on Friday over the news about the firing of former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe. He tossed out words like "Friday night slaughter" and "paranoid" to describe President Donald Trump and he was only getting warmed up. He acted as if the firing was strictly political and unjustified. However, as we shall later hear from reknowned legal scholar Jonathan Turley, the firing was not only justified but probably mandatory.

It would be interesting if some investigative reporter looked into Douglas Brinkley. I’m betting he is hiding something really bad and now is in panic mode, something that ties him to Andy M. or other FBI antiTrumpers.
Neither of them knew, but they agreed it was off the charts.
= = =
Off the charts.
I am reminded of the Flat Earth Charts, that have Fire-breathing Dragons, and other fearsome creatures just over the edges of the known World, as the water cascades into oblivion.
Yes, he is off the chart.
Did he see LBJ naked?
These idiots are hitching their wagons to a dead horse...just wait until the release of the OIG report and supporting referral for indicting the entire cabal including McCabe, Comey and Lynch.
Comey's making some trash talk to Trump about the American people will "soon" be able to judge "who is honorable and who is not."
That's going to leave a mark.
Absolutely. I completely believe at least the leadership of the FBI did. All you have to do is look at the Strzok/Page texts that have been released.
If not for that and places like Free Republic and clips on Rush Limbaugh, CNN would become a faded memory. Some people would say, "CNN? CNN? Seems to me I remember them. Weren't they that reality TV show that was shot in Brazil?"
Once he started humping Obama’s creased pant leg, I knew that he was gone like so many sycophants.
I think Comey’s butt is so puckered his mouth is stretched so tight against his teeth he can’t say a word yet - especially since McCabe pretty much just blared how Comey perjured himself big time.....
The simple answer was that McCabe was already the target of an investigation before the crap hit the fan with the release of the Nunes memo. I’m sure everyone knew McCabe was going to be fired. That’s why Trump posted the Twitter message a while back about McCabe “running out the clock” to collect his pension.
Are you sure that was Rose? I heard the exact same conversation on the radio between Don Imus and a presidential historian who was probably Brinkley. LOL.
That’s a very good example. Totally lacking any objectivity.
The Truth to a Leftist is whatever they want it to be. They spout their crap and know that most hearing it are ignorant of the facts and will believe it. The Left relies on lies and deception.
That’s why they rely on Political correctness. PC was designed to control the narrative so there would be no honest discourse.
You are correct. This is going to expose them all and there is nothing they can do about it but try to censor the facts and spin it like a top.
He acted as if the firing was strictly political
politicians doing things political - shocking
I agree—and why should we feel sorry that someone 50 years old is not getting a $100,000 a year pension for the rest of his life?
I used to enjoy a magazine called American History. This clown took over as editor and the very first issue under his leadership had a Reagan hit piece and a story praising the Hollywood Ten. Needless to say, it was my last issue.

Yes. He probably knows he’s next in the crosshairs. At least legally. Senses the swamp around him finally draining. Also Brennan couldn’t resist a swipe either.

The swamp creatures are sensing their time is short.
I was at a conference in 1999, I think it was, when he was the after-dinner speaker. I made the mistake of sitting at a table that was too far away from the doors to make a graceful exit. At that time he was planning to write a book about Jimmy Carter and was gushing about some occasion when he had spoken to Carter...and oozing with self-importance.
