How much money will be wasted on ineffective programs and/or studies? Just so they can say we did something.
More useless waste of taxpayer dollars with feel good legislation.
There’s already plenty of stuff in place to keep schools safer.
They just have to DO IT!!!!!!!
There were plenty of warning signs with Cruz and they were all ignored.
Not even overlooked or missed.
IGNORED.
If they’d stop ignoring this kind of stuff and actually act on what they’ve been told, they’d have prevented it just fine.
Get your kids out of public schools now.
This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)
The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.
I don’t suppose they are even considering a Do Your Freaking Job, FBI Act are they?
Talk and wasted money or real action? Like sidelining threats like Cruz before they can act? And teaching students? How about teaching them responsibility/accountability, gun safety, self-defense, rather than simply being snowflakes or sheep waiting for the slaughter?
We really need to convince these little liberal programmed, house apes to stop killing each other. That’s going to take parents so that isn’t going to work.
Gee....Almost sounds like common sense.....and something that should have ALWAYS been in place.

>> “The National Rifle Association also cheered the bills Wednesday passage” <<
The National Rifle Association also wrote, promoted, cheered the passage of the 1968 Gun Control Act.
Gun Owners of America is the org that actively and honestly defends and promotes our gun rights. What did they have to say?
.
The pro school violence bill didn’t pass.
You might say it was shot down...by a fully auto with extra fast bullets.
There needs to be a refundable tax credit per student per year so parents can send their daughters and sons to safe private schools instead of dangerous government schools.
But they won’t arm the teachers. ABQ public schools officials have just resolved to NOT arm teachers.
Don’t forget to read the comments below the story - mostly moronic of course.

Well that is a positive, and therefore, does not cause any blow back from me.
Not sure why you put these statements: No gun grabbing provisions? None? Are you really questioning? I have to assume that is the case since I see nothing in the article to confirm that. But if the NRA has no problem with it, and even applauds it, I assume that the answer to those questions are yes.
Anti-gun legislation not only does nothing but create the illusion that it does something. Our leadership is pandering to an issue, not the problem.
Feels good, knee jerk reaction!

Need to dump snti-gun zone signs. Train teachers how to use a weapon plus get ex-army marines trained to walk the halls armed. Plus add bullet proof glass all the way around the school. Locked doors where you have to show Id to enter once school has started and no duffle bags or backpack allowed. Kids will carry books in there hands like we used to in high school. Only took books home that we needed for the next day assignments.
