Trump eyes Rick Perry to replace VA secretary

President Donald Trump has grown irritated with his embattled Veterans Affairs secretary, David Shulkin, and is now making plans to remove him from his post, two sources familiar with the move tell CNN.

Trump has eyed Energy Secretary Rick Perry as a possible replacement, a person familiar with the matter said.

Trump and Perry discussed the possible move during a lunch at the White House Monday.

The real question is where can Perry be the most effective: in his current position as Energy Secretary or running the VA.

You know what I know .... the Left just doesn’t get Trump & it’s pretty easy to figure him out .... he is about RESULTS. If you get or are getting the results he wants, you’re fine. When you are not getting results or your usefulness in his scheme of things is spent, then you’re gone. This appears ‘chaotic’ to the Left who are used to Presidents hiring sycophants & keeping them, even if they are incompetent. Trump’s “chaos” is why he’s accomplished 64% of his agenda in his first year and continues to MAGA on :-)

Staff at my VA have saved my life multiple times...no exaggeration.

Getting through the system can be a long climb.

“Teaching hospitals” are another issue. May be a problem at other places too.

When you’re going for repeated medical care for years... Explaining medical history to the changed staff every 3-6 months is annoying AF.
