Sex “reassignment” doesn’t work. It’s impossible to “reassign” someone’s sex physically, and attempting to do so doesn’t produce good outcomes psychosocially.

Intersex, OTOH, does occur, and those individuals may require surgery and/or counseling at some point.
Sadly, the process of cutting off one's external genitals doesn't solve the issue of supposedly being born with the wrong genetic makeup. Those males spend the rest of their lives dealing with health, mental, emotional, and post-surgery maintenance issues because genetics always has the final say.
Until chromosomes can be transplanted, men stay men and women stay women no matter how they “feel.”

The lobotomy wasn't just practiced by a few oddballs here and there, it was extremely mainstream, and the "inventor" of the procedure won the Nobel Prize for Medicine in 1949. The lobotomy became a fad, and then, eventually after there were all these lobotomized people wandering around it became obvious that they were in terrible shape, worse off than before the surgery.
Today, someone would look back and say those parents who lobotomized their children were either stupid and evil, or both. But, truth is doctors and society misled them. Just like they are misleading people about the value of "transgender reassignment surgery" today.
I have tried this argument with libtards and it seems to at least cause a short pause in Hive Mind Behavior and lemming like virtue-signaling around "transgender" issues.

Every doctor who performs those types of surgeries should have their licenses revoked immediately.

You cannot fake what is physically impossible to “transform” with the body-mutilating surgeries “transgender” persons go through. Additionally, the DNA in the nucleus of every cell is still sex-specific, male or female, and continue to perform their assigned roles provided by their sex-specific DNA. Artificially administered hormones can try to offset what “transgender” surgery has destroyed as far as elements that both produce, and get the signals to produce, some hormones. It - the artificial supply of hormones - is imperfect at best, and leaves gaps in what many cells are expecting due to the sex-specific DNA they have; which is why “hormone therapy” is a lifetime regime for “transgender” persons.
True science would admit that the human body that has undergone “transgender” mutilation and is on hormone therapy is NOT displaying a “transitioning” of the body from one sex to the other. It is only seeing a surgically and artificial hormone induced OUTWARD pretense that the body is not of the sex that the DNA in every nucleus of every cell knows it is.
A head transplant would be more effective.

I’ve been saying this on FR for YEARS. Transgendering doesn’t work, measured by successful outcome. No treatment with only 50% contentment after it is a good treatment. And this article adds evidence that possibly the sato]isfsction rate for transgenders is even less than 50%.
It’s a financial cottage industry and a social justice lefty industry.
A non sexual comparable rip off medical treatment is the breast cancer scam. All women should get mammograms at a fairly frequent rate.... cancer cells are found early... treatment is radical... the patient’s immune system is permanently weakened thereafter, therewith shortening her life. Great gig if you can get it. Force aggressive treatment THROUGH THE PATIENT’S CLOSEST FAMILY. “Save my honey, do all that you can!!!”
The patient with deep gender dysphoria is beside themselves, and the ONLY treatment that they are given is to become the other sex. It is mandatory. Nothing else is even discussed.
It’s really not much different than any other person with a psychological need for cosmetic surgery. They seem SURE that the next physical “fix” will help them to like themselves, but the issue is inside their brain, not on their outer parts. More than half of transgenders come to regret their surgery. Sadly, for transgenders, most are destroying their ability to have children... and horrifyingly, the Left is insisting that children be allowed to make these decisions.

You are right. Transgender as a treatment is as primitive and unimaginative and unsuccessful as lobotomy.
