Sex Reassignment Doesn’t Work. Here Is the Evidence.

Sex “reassignment” doesn’t work. It’s impossible to “reassign” someone’s sex physically, and attempting to do so doesn’t produce good outcomes psychosocially.

As I demonstrate in my book, “When Harry Became Sally: Responding to the Transgender Moment,” the medical evidence suggests that sex reassignment does not adequately address the psychosocial difficulties faced by people who identify as transgender. Even when the procedures are successful technically and cosmetically, and even in cultures that are relatively “trans-friendly,” transitioners still face poor outcomes.

Men and women play acting as the opposite sex shouldn’t cut anything off and people encouraging them to do so are not acting in their best interest.

The thing that I’m confused about is the quality of surgery.

A long, long time ago (Sex change isn’t new) there was a famous pianist named Walter Carlos.

Well Walter went and became Wendy and ... you really couldn’t tell.

Now I know a few sex-changed people, and the hormones don’t work. It’s always men becoming women, but they can’t get the hair growth right, can’t get the voice changes right and the whole process is teetering on the edge of disaster.

Back when it wasn’t a thing, it seemed to turn out better.

Thank you. I can’t find one mention in the article of the genetic XY-XX irreversible differences between males and females. To me, that’s the open-and-shut, slam-dunk case of the whole matter. All the surgeries in the world can’t alter that.

I once felt that way, but have since revised my assessment to "if it has a 'Y' then it is a 'guY'". With the introduction of a 'Y' chromosome comes the introduction of many physical and mental changes as well. For example, the Olympics has proved (to me) that allowing intersex individuals to compete against women, puts the women at significant (insurmountable) natural physical disadvantage.
