Palestinian Authority officials did not attend the meeting, which focused on the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
WASHINGTON Israeli national security officials sat around the same table on Tuesday morning with their counterparts from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman and the United Arab Emirates, discussing a dire humanitarian situation unfolding in the Gaza Strip.
The summit on Gaza, called by Jared Kushner, the US presidents son-in-law and senior adviser on Middle East peace, as well as Jason Greenblatt, his special representative for international negotiations, marks an unprecedented moment for Israeli diplomacy, as their dialogue with officials from Arab states is publicly recognized for the first time.

They are desert scavengers who have a bad very un-arabic habit of assassinating and attempting to overthrow the governments like Jordan and Syria that take them in

Palestinians are not well liked by their Arab brethren As evidenced by the millions of Palestinians virtually and sometimes literally imprisoned in refugee camps in Jordan, Syria and Lebanon for going on 70 years now. Camps that have morphed in slum-cities. Camps that have fought battles with the armed forces of their host nations, some like the Nahr el-Bared camp in Lebanon being destroyed. Just imagine for a moment the uproar if western nations put refugees in camps and kept them there for decades.

Perfectly stated. The West has spent decades trying to impose a peace settlement on Israel which could only lead to its destruction. We need to form a pro (or at least not anti) Western coalition in the Middle East favorable towards Israel if there will ever be hope for true peace there.
