SACRAMENTO (Reuters) - California Governor Jerry Brown on Wednesday accused President Donald Trump’s administration of declaring war on the most populous U.S. state, after the Justice Department sued to stop policies that protect illegal immigrants against deportation.
The Democratic governor made the charge shortly after Attorney General Jeff Sessions intensified the Republican administration’s confrontation with California. In a speech in the state capital, Sessions accused California of obstructing federal immigration enforcement efforts and vowed to stop the state’s defiance.
Sessions addressed a law enforcement group in Sacramento, a day after the Justice Department filed suit against California, Brown and the state’s Democratic attorney general over so-called sanctuary policies that shield illegal immigrants.
“California absolutely, it appears to me, is using every power it has - powers it doesn’t have - to frustrate federal law enforcement. So you can be sure I’m going to use every power I have to stop them,” Sessions, the top U.S law enforcement officer, said in his speech.
Brown called the attorney general’s trip to California a political stunt and his description of California’s laws a lie.
“Like so many in the Trump administration, this attorney general has no regard for the truth,” Brown told reporters, adding that the laws were crafted with input and support from California police chiefs. “This is basically going to war against the state of California.”

What an interesting post. The leftists in California are wimps. That includes the left-wing law enforcement and the leftists in California cities.
In the LA riot back in 1992, the entire LA police force hopped in their squads and headed home to protect their families, leaving the ordinary California citizen to fend for themselves.
And I don’t see much hope for the leftist city dwellers, who hold their Glocks sideways, to attack and defeat the 1st Marine Division at Camp Pendleton.
As a long time resident of California, I want AG Sessions to do a lot more than file a lawsuit against CA. It is past time for the AG to grow a pair of gonads and start bringing criminal charges against such vermin as the socialist mayor of Oakland. Then move on to others, possibly including the Moonbeam himself whose biggest mistake in life was quitting the seminary. He would have fit right in with the rest of the leftist, heretical Jesuits, including the top banana presently residing in a Vatican hotel.
California is bankrupt.
It cannot finance its war with the Feds. Maybe the Governer can send his bullet train to DC full of pot smoking soldiers.

First of all, it is NOT the citizens of the state of CA who enacted this sanctuary BS and they are NOT waging war against the USA!! They had no part in the decisions. The vermin responsible for this BS are the corrupt, amoral, treasonous political RAT feces who made the decisions. It is my opinion, these hacks were elected because of RAT voter fraud. Absolutely no one I know approves of these Liberal hacks. Only a Liberal moron would want criminal aliens running lose in the population. Sessions has to go to a California federal judge. No way he wins as all the federal judges in California are as wacky as Jerry Brown. So then the appeals start and this thing is in the federal courts until a democrat is in the White House and the whole thing gets dropped. Better to just flood the state with federal immigration enforcement officers. Do high profile sweeps in every Latino congressional district and make sure everyone knows it is because Jerry Brown is an ass wipe. Raids at Dem campaign rallies would also be a good idea. Bust some heads while you are at it.
The big question is what will Californians do when the illegals start blowing things up?

On Hannity tonight, Michelle Malkin said: “Go in and arrest the politicians who have clearly broken the law.”
After the state passed the law the feds threatening to send more officers so they could protect themselves without local back-up. Then they arrested a few hundred in the bay area and LA. So they made athwart and didn’t follow up.
