My worry is that Haley Barbour might get the appointment.

If it’s April Fools, it sure is being widely announced. And I think the April Fools jokes must be done on April 1.

The worst possible appointee is waiting in the wings!

Everybody kept saying McC of AZ would be the first to go in 2018, but that may not be so after all.

My worry is that Haley Barbour might get the appointment. Mine, too, but the seat should go to the state senator who would have won but for Barbour's and others' meddling and dirty dealing.

I like Barbour. He may be too old.

Anyone from Mississippi or elsewhere who knows what the state law provides for selecting a replacement?

The new senator must be someone who will win reelection. No more Roy Moores.
To: Jonty30
Why can’t he resign on 31 March?

I like Barbour. He may be too old.
