SOUTH Africa’s parliament has voted in favour of a motion that will begin the process of amending the country’s Constitution to allow for the confiscation of white-owned land without compensation.
The motion was brought by Julius Malema, leader of the radical Marxist opposition party the Economic Freedom Fighters, and passed overwhelmingly by 241 votes to 83 against. The only parties who did not support the motion were the Democratic Alliance, Freedom Front Plus, Cope and the African Christian Democratic Party.
It was amended but supported by the ruling African National Congress and new president Cyril Ramaphosa, who made land expropriation a key pillar of his policy platform after taking over from ousted PM Jacob Zuma earlier this month.

About 20 years ago I hired a car to take me from Umlaanga Rocks into Durban. The driver was Indian.
We drove for miles through a suburb where every home had high walls, razor wire, driveway gates, and signs showing a guard with an AK-type rifle promising “armed response”.
I asked the driver if this was common.

China’s presence in Africa has interesting implications, once they achieve critical mass. They need Africa’s resources, but they have little need for Africans. The Chinese have plenty of their own people they can send over.
To take it from whites. It they actually specify that a black buyer is for the moment clear.

Actually, we can invest ZAR 10 million overseas per annum. There is also the discretionary allowance of ZAR 1 million per annum for travel, gifts, etc.
Just one big problem. Only the rich have that sort of money. Most of us aren’t rich. Add to that, the ZAR doesn’t travel well, and then there is purchasing power parity. For instance, in the US we would only be able to buy about half of what we can in SA for the same amount of money.

Years ago I worked with a mining engineer who had come from SA to Colorado. He was a good man and top notch.
Castro ( Fidel ) sent over supposed doctors, nurses, and other types ( they were really spies and agents but used these "jobs" as cover ), to infiltrate certain sections of the populace and convert more to COMMUNIST/MARXIST beliefs, about 25 years ago.
They were useless, for many different reasons, not the least of w2hich being that 1) they couldn't speak the languages used in RSA 2) they really weren't whom they pretended to be and couldn't/wouldn't do they actual jobs they were supposed to be doing.
And in many places, there were none, zip, nada, zero, bupkiss blacks or any other human beings at all!

OTOH...a replication of what happened in Zimbabwe and now happening in RSA, is IMPOSSIBLE to happen here, for many different reasons. The comparison goes far beyond comparing the usually stated "apples and oranges". It really IS more like what I stated, comparing apples with razor blades!
Sadly, most Americans imagine that other places are like what they know, at best; at worst, they tend to think that other places are like what they have seen in the movies and/or what the MSM has told them. Neither is true/factual.
The "Coloureds" are Indians and people of mixed races. They are as hated as the whites are, by blacks and no, AFAIK, they haven't joined the ANC Commies; though a few of the those of mixed race and are young, lean that way.
Mandela, though a rather light skin, for an Xhosa, wasn't of mixed race; just an outlier. And it's the Xhosa who have ALWAYS been not just in the ANC, but leaders of that "party".
