BREAKING: Jared Kushner's Security Clearance Has Been Downgraded,
Townhall.com ^ | February 27, 2018 | Katie Pavlich

Posted on 02/27/2018 2:27:59 PM PST by Kaslin

Senior advisor to President Donald Trump, Jared Kusher -- who is also the president's son-in-law -- has officially lost the ability to review sensitive classified information after failing to obtain a permanent security clearance.

Speculation surrounding whether Kushner's permanent security clearance, in addition to temporary clearances held by dozens of White House Staffers, would come through has been swirling for weeks. Last week President Trump said it was up to Chief of Staff John Kelly to determine whether his son-in-law would continue to review classified information.

“That’ll be up to General Kelly. General Kelly respects Jared a lot and General Kelly will make that call. I won’t make that call,” Trump said last week during a press conference with the Australian Prime Minister at the White House.

Previously, Kushner had access to President Trump's daily intelligence briefings and reports. Moving forward, he will not. Ivanka Trump, married to Kusher, has also been working at the White House on a temporary clearance.

More on the background from POLITICO

The White House’s handling of clearances came under scrutiny after reports that Kelly had been aware that former staff secretary Rob Porter, who was accused by his two ex-wives of verbal and physical abuse, did not have a full security clearance in part because of a previous protective order granted during one of his divorces.

The scandal prompted Kelly to crack down on staffers working without full clearance, more than a year into the Trump administration.

In a five-page document released last week, Kelly ordered a series of initiatives aimed at bolstering protocols.

“The American people deserve a White House staff that meets the highest standards and that has been carefully vetted — especially those who work closely with the president or handle sensitive national security information,” Kelly said in the memo. “We should — and in the future, must — do better.”

The White House argues Kushner will continue to fulfill an important role at the White House, regardless of his access level to classified information.

A lot of special access involved as well ..... on top of my TS was CNWDI . As well others working with the POTUS usually have YANKEE WHITE etcetera .... back logs on initial and five year review of a TS or Q clearance are backlogged to six maybe 7 years right now. With the recent data breach by the “contractors” that do this now versus FBI agents ...... its a mess.

Only solution is to go back to “NEED TO KNOW” concept and tell all the celebrity polididiots to leave the room when the subject includes info above they’re pay grade and ........ “need to know”.

My experience on the matter.

If someone disclosed to her who had what clearance, that person is committing a felony.

No. Only control system names and compartment names are classified. Saying that somebody is losing their TS/SCI clearence is not a felony.

“”Kushner is not alone. All White House aides working on the highest-level interim clearances — at the Top Secret/SCI-level — were informed in a memo sent Friday that their clearances would be downgraded to the Secret level, according to three people with knowledge of the situation.”””

Agreed. The problem is the politicians and these appointments, especially from the Left. If you are an engineer and are working on a very classified program, you really have to pass the security clearances. But if you’re anpolitical appointee, they sail right through! Look at the Obama White House. Look at the Clinton White House - - 90% of these people are
traitors, perverts, and criminals! And yet, the system bows down for them.

> “ Saying that somebody is losing their TS/SCI clearence is not a felony.”

Saying that to the Press?

That information is never released to the public. If someone releases a list of names and their clearance levels to the public, that is a felony as it breaches information that can be used by an enemy in targeting individuals.

That’s why this piece of crap put together by Pavlich is not worth engaging. The only thing worth engaging is why people believe her.

Katie Pavlich doesn’t know anything about whether or who has lost or gained a clearance. She is quoting Politico which is part of the liar media.

No one in the WH Administration is going to tell her or anyone which persons lost a clearance. They are not going to tell her or anyone which person has lost access.

She is a gossip-monger and should be treated accordingly.

It's as I said above.

Which of the following don't you agree with.

The Kelly memo is real.

Kushner having an high level interim security clearance is real.

Kushner's current tasks require a high level of clearance.

> “It’s as I said above.”

In your mind only.

I can see you never had access to sensitive intel. Nor were you educated as to espionage laws.

In the Intel World, the first rule is to keep your eyes and ears open and your mouth shut. And there are laws that stand behind that rule.

Take your bone and off to the corner with you to chew it. This Kavlich piece is crap and that’s the larger point which you choose to ignore.

Was in that era of the security fiascos in DOD / DOE / Consultant ..... . Saw what you describe firsthand . Dog ‘n Pony tours of polidiots and presstitutes on parade were routine in classified areas so we knew what to hide and show..... whole lot of TS cover sheets on garbage cans and office chairs that were oooooh’d and awwwwww’d over .

Clintonistas were the worst ...... the very worst. They will be hard pressed to ever be topped by even Erkel “obama” Mugabe.

Which is why you opened up your yap on this thread and said the following...

Unbelievable.

My clearances were a long time ago newbie. I am retired now and can talk about my experiences IN GENERAL.

But you, on the other hand, are easily fooled which is why an effort was made to make you aware how you get yourself sucked in, and when you couldn’t grasp that, the effort focused on getting others to see the foolishness.

And now you’ve gone ad hominem, which was predictable given your lack of acumen on scanning data for real info signal.

The larger point is you decided to accept Pavlich’s crap as fact. Shame on you.

You didn't talk about your clearance in general. You specifically said that you had "some of the highest clearances granted in the intel community" and that your "access was compartmentalized".

But you, on the other hand, are easily fooled which is why an effort was made to make you aware how you get yourself sucked in, and when you couldn’t grasp that, the effort focused on getting others to see the foolishness.

The three points that I listed come from press conference transcripts, direct quotes and Brietbart reports. The Kelly memo is real. Kushner having an high level interim security clearance is real. Kushner's current tasks require a high level of clearance.

And now you’ve gone ad hominem, which was predictable given your lack of acumen on scanning data for real info signal.

LOL. I was responding to your ad hominem, in your previous post to me. If you want to be treated with respect, then you should treat others with respect. If you start an ad hominem, then don't come crying to me when you get it back.

Reports are that Kushner went from a TS/SCFI to just TS. That’s like downgrading from a Cadillac Escalade to a Lincoln Towncar while the rest of the people are TS/Secret/Confidential or Need To Know re clearances.

I don’t think that Kushner should have been given a TS/SCFI at all.

However, considering all the potential traitors that Obama gave TS and above clearances (Susan Rice, Anita Dunn, Samantha Powers (wouldn’t trust her red husband an inch), maybe Ben Rhodes, Valerie Jarrett (she’s the key to a lot of leftist crap under Obama), and possibly a clearance to Robert Malley, son of the late KGB asset, founder of the Egyptian Communist Party, Simon Malley, among others.

If you ask me, neither Kushner nor his wife have any proper role in the government at all. They were not elected to anything.

Send them home to live their private lives.

The President does not go through the security clearance process. The idea is the voters have given them a security clearance by electing him/her.

Yes, and Tillerson and Kelly are going to quit or be fired, and blah blah blah. More Partisan Media Shill activity -- there was a review, and a number of people were found to not need the clearance. The other smear going around is that at least four nations view Kushner as a possible resource to be exploited. Media wing of the DNC ping. Thanks Kaslin.
