This may not be news to most, but this report is news to me. I had no idea Nikolas Cruz was wearing a helmet, face-mask and full body armor.

Has this teacher’s account been referenced or confirmed elsewhere? It would seem to align with this report about the über driver and the duffel bag:

But for the fact that he confessed in court, they have no proof he was the shooter at all. This entire charade is a set up to enhance the effort to confiscate guns.
Why not - if his plan was to try to escape within the throng of fleeing students.
where was he during the vegas shooting?
What difference does it make what he was wearing?

Well, if a shooter was wearing a mask it raises the question, "how many shooters were there and who were they." There is one student who has already stated she was walking out of the building with Cruz and she still heard shots behind her.
Evidence? I know the crooked cops said he confessed, but they might want to prove it.
Quite a bit. He managed to get into the school with a backpack, disassembled rifle, lots of extra ammo (he fled with ammo unused) and all this other gear, (read that he even had smoke bombs) and at NO TIME was he stopped or even detained on his way to kill 17 innocents...................
One blonde female student said she was talking to Cruz when the shooting was going on elsewhere.
Isn’t someone on record that they were talking to Cruz (no helmet, no body armor, no nothing) while shots were being fired inside Parkland?
Someone in a mask was killing 17 people. It’s not clear who that person was.
That's all well and good, and it represents a terrible breach of security, but none of those items constitutes an article of clothing. I asked what difference it makes what he was wearing (in response to statement by teacher that he was wearing body armor and a helmet).

Also, he confessed in order to avoid the death penalty. This would have removed the need for a thorough investigation.
It makes sense that he would wear protective gear. Not sure why any would be surprised by these details.
Correction: The teacher saw someone wearing body armor and a helmet shooting down the hallway.
She did not identify Cruz as the shooter.
So much doesn’t make sense....maybe I don’t follow it close enough. He headed into school at the end of the day, but nobody stopped him. He was carrying a backpack which had the gun and a mask.....and nobody stopped him. Then officers showed up......and nobody stopped him. Then he gets out and wanders around for a while.....until police from another community actually catch him. The cops are looking at 20 minute old video which they think is live.
Everyone knew this kid was troubled, yet nobody did anything. Sounds like he begged for help and this wealthy, liberal community did zip.
