The liberal campaign against the NRA has successfully pressured some companies to sever their partnerships with the gun rights group but its having another, unintended effect: galvanizing conservatives who feel the NRA has been unfairly attacked.
Liberal activist groups turned the NRA into a scapegoat for the Florida school shooting that left 17 people dead and immediately launched a pressure campaign meant to weaken the NRA, which touts itself as the nations longest-standing civil rights organization.
Liberals have threatened boycott campaigns against companies like FedEx, for having discount partnerships with NRA members. On that front, the activists have had some success, as several companies including United Airlines and Delta Airlines caved to the pressure and severed their ties with the NRA. Left-wing website ThinkProgress, a project of the George Soros-funded Center for American Progress, has since taken credit for launching that boycott campaign.
Two left-wing gun control groups, Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense and Everytown for Gun Safety, are pressuring Amazon, Apple and Google to ban the NRAs channel from their streaming platforms. So far, their censorship campaign has been unsuccessful.
As liberals and prominent media figures have stepped up their attacks on the NRA, many on the Right are rushing to the NRAs defense. Social media was flooded over the weekend with conservatives announcing they had joined the NRA as an act of defiance.

I can’t wait until NRA published the number of new members in February and March
Sorry, publishes
When liberals drop us lemons, we make lemonade.
And they have aroused a sleeping giant.
Can’t find anywhere on the Amazon website to tell them what I think of their boycott. Does anyone else have any idea how to lash into them?
One of these days, the left wing CEO’s will understand my tagline.
There will be a lot of MBA and doctoral thesis’s on how left wing CEO’s destroyed/severely wounded their companies by attacking out president!
I joined the NRA for the very first time, just to make a political statement.
This is an well-funded and organized campaign. It’s not organic which begs the question whether the Hillary loving Broward County Sheriff is in on it!
My sons are joining tonight.
I am going to send a hundred bucks each to the NRA and GOA on account of the boycott.
How’s that for backlash?
I am taking note of all companies that spit on NRA members. We are human beings and will not tolerate this hatred without taking our business elsewhere.
Target, for instance, has been anathema to me since it filed a “friend of the court” brief to destroy marriage. Enterprise car rentals are in the same boat because of its nasty behaviour towards law abiding citizens who own guns.
Forever is a long time, corporate America. Take heed.
Yup. That Hogg kid has been on CNN way too many times to be just a random student speaking out against guns!
Yep — time to get it in gear.
For those who say “boycotts don’t work” I remind you:
* We got whoppie goldbrick kicked out as spokeshole for Weight Watchers (or something like that)
* Our “”buycott” of Chick-fil-let kept the going until the noise from the left subsided.
* Our boycott of the nfl is starting to have some real effect.
We just want theses companies to feel real pain — we won’t put them out of business.
I’d settle for knowing what their numbers were two weeks ago...and what their numbers are today.
Yuge difference, I’m guessing.
Many sign up but do they renew their membership?
Indeed watch the numbers, but check back in 13 - 14 months.
I think the NRA numbers hold pretty steady at around 5 million.
Best way to do it is get a life membership at the get go. I paid yearly for about 15 of so years and then got smart and went life around 15 years ago.
Good for you!
I know 6 people who have done this in the last 2 days.
