I wonder if there is any federal statute than he can be charged with he was so negligent and derelict in his duty that costed 17 lives and could have been so easily prevented. What he didn’t do was so beyond the pale and abnormal considering he let that loose cannon, Cruz, run amok.

Was reading reports about the murder He is autistic with functioning of a 10-12 year old. Family cried out for help when he became violent No help was offered. So there is another life that the Sheriff department failed. They failed to protect him from himself. He was institutionalized for a short period. Picking him up and returning to said institution is a very simple solution

Does Gov. Scott get to name an interim Sheriff?
Sheriff David Clarke just might be available for a short term contract!
There are probably other Law and Order Sheriffs who would be available for a short term gig, also.
