ABCs The View tackled the Florida school shooting on Thursday and cohost Meghan McCain tried really hard to explain the differences between guns to her cohosts.
The hosts insisted that something needed to be done about the shooting and threw out various proposed policies like banning bump stocks or getting rid of AR-15s. Whoopi Goldberg and McCain got into one heated exchange about whether McCain and the NRA hold the same positions on guns.
McCain tried to inject some expertise into the debate, noting that attendees at CNNs town hall on Wednesday cheered for a ban on all semi-automatic weapons.
Last night in the town hall the crowd was cheering for the removal of all assault weapons anywhere which is a big different between assault weapons and bump stocks, she said. Its a completely different thing than a semi-assault rifle.
The cohosts quickly descended on McCain and seemed to argue that she was being insensitive to the raw emotions of the shooting victims.
7,000 people there in a community that is raw from a crime that just cost 17 innocent lives, guest host Ana Navarro said. They are there and they are venting their emotions. That place was full of students You cant ask them to be restrained.
McCain rebutted that while the children may be emotional, there is no excuse for the way they treated NRA spokeswoman Dana Loesch during the town hall.
I felt like if we are going to have a respectful conversation between Second Amendment right supporters and people who are on the complete opposite side we cant be yelling youre a murderer, she concluded.

Well, knowing Meghan (and her family DNA) she did the best she could. And someone explaining pro-gun points to rabid, foaming at the mouth, brain-dead libtards like Behar, Meghan deserves a medal of some sort..
"Guns are like cake. With lots of frosting. And layers with more frosting. Sometimes with vanilla and chocolate frosting at the same time. And sooooooooo good."
Megan representing my views on this about like Jeffrey Dahmer explaining the vegetarian lifestyle.
That bundle of joy will be flapping her gums until the day she goes toes up, to the Leftist media’s delight.
A gun has more than one moving part.
As such, it is essentially quantum physics to the silly little girls on the rest of that panel.
Yes, I said silly little girls.
I dont see any girls there. All I see are some really old and ugly hags.

You put the meanest looking legal firearm on a table. You walk 3 feet away from it. You say “yell at it.” Then you note it is incapable of independent action.
That is way too deep for most libs, though.
FWIIW: the local post-Rush guy here in Dallas, Rick Roberts, got an interview with the local assistant Mayor (Dwayne Carraway) who asked the NRA convention to go away. In that first discussion, Carraway agreed he had NO idea what an assault rifle or automatic rifle or anything else gun/weapon-related was.
To his credit, Carraway will be meeting Rick at a local gun range and will shoot a series of weapons, including full- and semi- automatic guns.
I am following closely. The idiot mayor of Dallas has no clue about anything BTW. I have hopes but am not sanguine.
Whoopi is a NRA member or was at least. Why wasn’t that brought up?
The other day I was channel flicking. The View came on quickly and the toilet off the TV room flushed itself.
There is no such thing as a respectful conversation with a leftist.
The rhetoric they’ve been using aimed at lawful gun owners is
more than enough proof that the 2nd Amendment is supremely
important and should be defended with absolute vigor.
Whatever McCain tried to say, those women couldn’t hear because of the voices in their head.
“seemed to argue that she was being insensitive to the raw emotions of the shooting victims.”
Never try to hold an intelligent discussion with those overcome with raw emotions. You will ALWAYS seem insensitive by discussing facts.
LOL!!
IMHO, it was just way too soon for Dana Dark Loesch to be the one to show up and debate gun control with a bunch of traumatized kids fresh from a slaughter house tragedy.
Dana does argument, sometimes viciously, and the kids had probably seen that behavior, already. If they hadn’t, it would be no surprise to me that CNN made sure the audience was supplied them, showing a couple of her most outrageous performances, in NRA ads.
She has the empathy, sympathy and comforting level of a mad cobra. She said all the right things and behaved herself, but her arrogance is off putting, even to some of us hard nosed NRA supporters.
It was a given that any NRA supporter would have been put on a rack in that hostile atmosphere with raw emotions on display, but NRA should not have been there at all. Ms. Darkness has a tendency to throw fuel on fire, anyway, had no business there.
Blind person explaining sight to the other blind people.
It’s a sad day when Meghan McCain is the voice of reason.
Actually, Meghan became the voice of reason toward the end of her gig on “Outnumbered”.
