Only three (3) illegal uses of legally registered NFA Title 2 firearms (machineguns, destructive devices, suppressors, SBS, SBR, and AOW) that we know of...
....and all three murders were done by LAW ENFORCEMENT with their Form 4'd personal toys (not form 10 department guns).
A Miami PD detective used his own Mac 380 SMG to murder a CI who was about to blow the whistle on his corruption in the late 70s/early 80s.
A OK sheriff deputy used his AR-18 to kill a burglar who kept breaking into his garage in the 80s. Neighbor saw him crouching in an ambush on his property.
A MN SWAT officer used his suppressed MP5 to kill his wife, her cop lover, and the internal affairs officer before killing himself in the mid-late 90s.
There, is of course, the most famous one, Christopher Dorner who used suppressors and short barrel rifles (form 4 LEO exempt) in his rampage in 2013.
Want to keep NFA Title 2 guns from murdering people? Don't give them to cops.
And they voted it down by two to one while the children were there protesting.
You could at the very least add a disclaimer for the lie in the headline...
The Florida legislature did not consider any legislation involving “assault rifles”.

Now that they have these kids there they should have a teach-in which leftists love and they should teach these students what the second Amendment is and why we need it. This would never happen of course.
The left is going to get kids to do what they got them to do in the 1960s and 1970s. To riot on the college campuses and now on the high school campuses. This is what they do. Get kids to riot and they make their speeches. This is their goal. To unarm America so that they can take over. With us armed, they cannot do this. So, now, teach the 15, 16 and 17 year olds to riot. Cause them to burn down their schools. Teach them young. They have been doing this for decades in the class rooms. Now, teach them to riot.
These “youths” need some cleaning to their heads, via old school wood shampoos, administered by local lawmen.
They should’ve started smaller and voted on banning assault rifles in schools.
And they still don’t have a clue what an assault rifle is. And they keep pretending that a .22, a 30.06, etc won’t kill. If they weren’t so willfully ignorant in public, I’d have maybe a smidgen of respect for these people. As it is, they are liars.

In 2014, according to the FBI, all rifles (not just scary-looking “assault” rifles) accounted for just 2 percent of all murders, and just 3 percent of all firearms murders.
There were only 248 victims of murder by all rifles, less than those murdered by:
shotguns (262)
knives or cutting instruments (1,567)
blunt objects (clubs, hammers, etc.) (425)
personal weapons (hands, fists, feet, etc.) (687)
In other words in 2014 (and every other year for which I have seen data), well over twice as many people were murdered by unarmed assailants as were murdered with any rifle, whether that was an AR-15, a Ruger 10/22, an antique muzzleloader, or any other type of rifle.
All of the data I have seen suggests that concealed carry permit holders offend at far lower rates than law enforcement officers, let alone the general public.
I don’t know of any studies on the subject, but I would be willing to bet that the crime rate among non-LEO legal owners of legal owners of NFA Title 2 firearms is probably within the margin of error of zero.

I believe the issue has reversed now. They are part of the ‘union thug’ think. No longer constable\’peace officers’ but enforcers of the State: law-enforcement officers. 2-of-3 sides in the ‘negotiations’ are GOVT\entities (taxpayer vs. public union vs. elected...w/ all appropriate kick-backs and election-time ‘help’)
WISH the (R)N(C) here in FL had immediately called for the increase of the age to 21 for:
- Driving
- Voting
- Abortion
- Freedom of Speech (written or otherwise)
They could have used this as the perfect example of the non-adult mind: emotional, unreasonable, willfully ignorant and *MORE* than willing to take YOUR life, Liberty, property and Rights by use of govt.
Or, better yet, pass a bill that the above will have the SAME constraints that are placed upon the 2nd:
“You are under arrest for saying/posting XYZ w/in the 3day ‘cool-down’ period...” or “for not using a flier\printing press to express your opinions, as was common in the days of the Constitution.”
Oh, I’d LOVE to see the lawyers/ACLU/judges noodle through that. “But guns kill!” “So does speeding/reckless driving....So does abortion” “But, that’s a Right” “No. The 2nd *IS*” *deer in headlights*
