A bipartisan group of senators reached a deal on immigration Wednesday as President Trump attempted to preemptively undercut the proposal by delivering an ultimatum: Pass my plan or risk a veto.
The self-dubbed Common Sense Caucus of senators late Wednesday circulated legislation that would fulfill Trumps calls to grant legal status to 1.8 million young immigrants and would appropriate $25 billion for southern border security construction projects over the next decade not immediately, as Trump wants. The bill also would curb family-based immigration programs, but not to the extent Trump is seeking, and would not end a diversity visa lottery program that he wants eliminated.

Anything
that allows
those who entered the USA illegally
to benefit from that
illegal act
is
AMNESTY
and will incentivize
millions more
to come for their amnesty.
STOP
giving prizes to invaders!
|
Any policy towards illegals must - MUST - address the
incentives that are set up by that policy. Are you incentivizing more to try their hand at illegal entry or are you incentivizing them to stay home and apply through the legal process?
With 600 million people south of our
porous non-existent southern border and untold millions outside the Americas who might also avail themselves of this easy access, there can be only one immigration policy -
Stop giving prizes
for illegal entry.
Any measure that permits those who entered illegally to benefit from that illegal act
is amnesty. And any amnesty will bring millions more invaders.
This must be stopped.
Will you help stop this?

Common Sense Caucus??? So, repeating the same mistakes that every administration has made since RR is what’s currently accepted as “common sense”? We’re in trouble, folks.

Looks like President Trump needs to get his veto pen ready.

...as President Trump attempted to preemptively undercut the proposal by delivering an ultimatum: Pass my plan or risk a veto. I wonder how the WaComPost would have written this when zero was President. Let's see:
...as President Obama warned the GOP Senators that their attempt to bypass his directives would result in the bill being DOA. In other words: Send me a correct bill or I will veto it.

Why even bother posting this crap. Anybody who thinks Trump would sign it is not an actual Trump supporter and Eddie Munster Ryan has already said he will NOT introduce any bill he knows the president won’t sign. Nothingburger alert!

appropriate $25 billion for southern border security construction projects over the next decade
* If a future congress doesn't cancel the $25 billion
* If the 9th circuit doesn't stop any/all construction
* If environmental impact reports and legal costs don't eat up all $25 billion
* If ...
If the wall it going to happen they need to give amnesty AFTER building. Anyone who votes for amnesty-first doesn't really intend to have the wall built. Even appropriating $25 billion won't do it since it will be in courts until a future Dem congress cancels the appropriated money.
Amnesty doesn't have to wait for the entire wall.
1) Build a mile
2) Give amnesty to 1000 dreamers
3) Build another mile
4) Another 1000 dreamers get amnesty
...
That'll get Dems who care about amnesty to help build the wall. Assuming there are Dems who want amnesty and aren't just using it for politics.

So, repeating the same mistakes that every administration has made since RR is whats currently accepted as common sense? A lot of these same leeches were government living off the taxpayers back then, so if the story never seems to change, it's because the players haven't.

This charade is so aggravating to watch. Trump has the upper hand on immigration. He has the American people on his side. If congress won’t send him an acceptable bill then he should let the illegal DACA program end and do the unthinkable: start vigorously enforcing existing immigration laws. Outrageous, I know.

You’re making too much sense. Have you passed your suggestion on to some US Senators and Reps?
