President Trump's tweet today indicates that he may release the Democratic memo, but only once the authors of the document make the suggested changes. Trump alleges that the Democrats "would have blamed the White House for lack of transparency" had he decided to release a redacted memo.

It will be curious if the document appears again for release by Monday, with the redactions accomplished. It would have taken less than an hour of editing to meet the Trump-criteria.
My guess is that you probably won’t hear anything again about this memo.
As with DACA, the Democrats don’t want a solution they want the issue.

Substitute any issue, like climate change, racism, health care, etc. with DACA and it becomes even clearer.
The democRATS don't want to solve any of these problems. They just want to own these issues in order to sway power and control over their plantation dwellers.

I always kind of thought that Trump should have just released the Democrat memo as is.
Then when everyone starts screaming about all the classified into in it, just point to the Dems on the committee and say,
“These were the people in charge of our intelligence data. I would think that they knew what was classified and what could be released to the public. Else why would they put it in a memo and then demand for it to be released to the public? Why would they threaten our country’s security like that?”

Hypothetically connecting some dots, in theory it seems within the realm of conjecture to me that trump could use this avenue towards incticting seditious and treasonous individuals, arresting them with federal marshals, and sending them to firms for military tribunal trials (I may be missing some legal niceties that preclude this scenario). If this is the case, many liberals might be in for a considerable surprise once this mechanism begins to be exercised. All speculative...
Trump didn't have a choice. Under the rules of Congress, the committee sends the information they want to declassify to the President and the President either approves it in whole or sends it back. Trump couldn't take parts out and then release it.
The Democrats won't amend the memo. They'll refuse to change it and claim Trump is trying to hide the facts. This is no less political than the Nunes memo was.
You'll never see the memo but you'll hear about it as the Democrats claim as loudly and as constantly as they can that Trump is trying to hide the facts.
Where is the security outcry from the Dems, mediots and FBI over their release of a memo?
