Since the allegations about Donald Trumps business connections to Russia started to fly last year in the middle of his presidential campaign, the fog of political war has made it difficult to tell the real from the shadow. Except for one very visible landmark: a sprawling, rococo seaside mansion in Palm Beach that Trump himself liked to boast about as an example of his real-estate acumen.
What do I have to do with Russia? he replied to reporters questions at a press conference in Doral last summer. You know the closest I came to Russia, I bought a house a number of years ago in Palm Beach for $40 million, and I sold it to a Russian for $100 million.
That was a bland, if fairly accurate, summary of a wild and goofy tale of the Palm Beach real-estate market involving tax fraud, Russian billionaires, lurid divorce-court accusations and at least in the opinion of some Palm Beach observers the execrably vulgar taste of the super-rich.

And then smothered them with ketchup
Must be a Russian thing
EXACTLY!!!!
What a boondoggle!!! Big façade on the buildings in San Jose...now empty buildings mostly it appears....
total waste of our money!!!
Well, I’m not sure if you mean me posting this, but I did after someone else posted a recent story about it here:

Right now, this is the latest things that Dems in Congress and the media are throwing at Trump, so the first person posted about it to keep us informed, and I posted this article so people here would know that it’s old news reported on last year though Dems are bringing it up and suddenly want an investigation into it now.
Yes. And the media covered it last year.
Now all of a sudden, though, Dems in Congress call for an investigation.
Rumor has it he also likes to dress hamsters in little tuxedos and ballroom gowns then, feed them to large snakes.
Definitely a new scandal for the MSM! The oligarch bought the mansion because he didn’t want to live in a sh!thole!
I saw this POS house in the Robb Report or some other magazine.
I would have never paid the price this thing eventually went for ...
How appalling! The tuxedos are what we elites wear! If he dressed them in jeans and t-shirts with Budweiser logos on them it might be reasonable. That’s what the hamster rubes in flyover country wear. But tuxedos, how utterly unconscionable!

...
They are running out of crap to fling out of their cages.
LOL!
Yeah, I don’t think too many of us woulda coulda paid that price....
“”Where did all that money go? Lots of swamp cronies must have gotten some.””
I know I’ll be in my grave long before the answer to that is found....Our boy wonder Joe Biden was in charge of the accounting of all those billions... He never came through with accounting for any of it!!!!
“2008 events, old story.”
Exactly. I guess the media is against someone making money in real estate.
Hes a racist for selling it to Russians instead of rappers.
Why buy it when you can make it? Mayonnaise, ketchup, sweet pickle relish and a bit of Worcestershire sauce -- et voila!! Russian dressing!
I’ll have to try that.
What is Thousand Island? Ketchup, mayo and regular pickle relish? TIA
Made my own version of Hoppin’ John today with some stuff coming up after the “sell by” dates in the prepper supplies.
I've never bought it.
It was worth 40 as a knock down....
Wait, was he, like, sending secret messages to an Oligarch or something ??
Meet me in London on my Senate break...
destroy this message before reading..
