" ... that Trump is illiterate?"
one source told The Post.
I thought Obama skipped the daily intel meetings.
No, not unless the briefers leave out info. Everyone has their own learning style.
Trump is breaking with precident set by seven past Presidents in choosing to rarely read the daily briefing
Yeah, right. Obama could rarely be bothered to read the daily briefing. Big Media covering again for the One Big A** Mistake America.
“the Washington Post reported”. Nuff said
Zero’s PDF went to Cankles’ unsecure server, so the world read it 2 hours before he did.
Being briefed orally allows questions and answers - more interactive and potentially more informative.
So we are supposed to be shocked, that Trump is somehow disengaged because of this? What negative point are they trying to make?
The Washington Post has drooped in prestige to something less than a fifth grade class product, when they don’t have an adult editor.
It has become a laughing stock.
Washington ComPost == FAKE NEWS.
Oh, gee whiz, you can’t just throw a sheet of paper at him? You actually have to know what your talking about or it will come through in your voice? You might have to answer questions - like when you stand for your Masters or Doctorate?
Sounds like a better system to me.
Does the DNC pay the Post directly for these hit pieces, or do they have to funnel it through a 3rd party, like the Clinton Foundation, first?
Sounds like this is what he’s used to in terms of staff reporting in his business. You can’t ask for immediate clarifications and additional details, or personal opinion(s) based on the staff person’s experience, from a document. So yes, in a positive sense it matters a lot. As does the fact that, unlike His Shiftlessness, Trump is actually receiving daily and paying attention to the reports.
It absolutely matters... you cannot cross examine a paper report. Trump is on the job asking tough questions - it's his style. Always has been.
The spin is that he's too dumb to read the reports. Just spin.
I am a reader. I miss details when I am told things. I work for a guy who is definitely like Trump and retains better when told things. I don’t function well that way, but some do, and like Trump, he is an “ideas” guy.
Using old banking terminology, he is a “hunter” and I am a “skinner”. I am an analyst that breaks down problems, takes them apart and solves them. I handle details and minutia. Takes both kinds to make most organizations function well.
Precedent of past 7 presidents? I doubt it.
I prefer oral reports. I can tell who is trying to bullsh!t me.
Seems to me it would be advantageous to ask questions, maintain focus, and identify areas needing further research instead of reading a sterile document.
