Trump prefers oral report to reading daily intel briefing: report
The Hill ^ | February 9, 2018 | JACQUELINE THOMSEN

President Trump is declining to read his daily brief and is instead having officials orally brief him on certain issues, The Washington Post reported Friday.

Trump is breaking with precedent set by seven past presidents in choosing to rarely read the daily briefing, which includes what officials have deemed to be the most important U.S. intelligence from hot spots around the globe.

Reading the report is not Trump's chosen "style of learning," one source told The Post.

No, not unless the briefers leave out info. Everyone has their own learning style.

Zero’s PDF went to Cankles’ unsecure server, so the world read it 2 hours before he did.

Being briefed orally allows questions and answers - more interactive and potentially more informative.

So we are supposed to be shocked, that Trump is somehow disengaged because of this? What negative point are they trying to make?

Exactly. Every single article is ‘a source’ or ‘a person familiar with the subject’ which means “we made this up.” In the future, when actual journalism returns, anyone who writes like that will be summarily fired.

The Washington Post has drooped in prestige to something less than a fifth grade class product, when they don’t have an adult editor.

It has become a laughing stock.

Back at university, it’s either I turn on my voice recorder to record (and go to sleep) OR listen and take notes. I prefer the former. My profs hated me for it but couldn’t believe I would ace their tests as I would rather dissect the notes at night and make my own notes. My classmate did the same thing but he would set his video cam on and he too would doze off. He now works for a mutual fund company and makes more money than I do.

Oh, gee whiz, you can’t just throw a sheet of paper at him? You actually have to know what your talking about or it will come through in your voice? You might have to answer questions - like when you stand for your Masters or Doctorate?

Sounds like a better system to me.

Does the DNC pay the Post directly for these hit pieces, or do they have to funnel it through a 3rd party, like the Clinton Foundation, first?
