On Wednesday morning, NBCs Today show and ABCs Good Morning America recited identical liberal talking points as both broadcasts warned viewers that the U.S. was on the verge of looking like worlds worst authoritarian regimes if the Pentagon followed through on President Trumps desire to hold a military parade in the nations capital.
Some unusual marching orders from President Trump to the Pentagon. He wants a massive parade to highlight the countrys military strength, fretted Today co-host Hoda Kotb. But as NBCs Hans Nichols explains, that request is not sitting well with some lawmakers, she added.

White House Confirms Donald Trump Wish for Military Appreciation Parade
I-10 could get quite a workout.
do you think once a week or so he just wants to push liberal buttons?
The last non-Commie parade I remember was Iran back around 1971-72. We were still on good terms with the Shah in power. Then Jimmy Carter got elected and it all went to hell in a handbasket.
It took every bramaged dain cell to think of it.
Where has the pentagon confirmed it or the White House? And Anonymous sources including spokesman don’t count.
An interesting observation now that the sh!t fan hitting pace seems to be accelerating.
The fact there is ABC and NBC Ameritrash is offensive to America
See my reply 42.
What did the guy from The Ministry of Funny Walks say about it on MSNBC?
OMG! It’s the long-lost “elite French forces”!
I had only seen a still and never a film, but I loved it 10+ years ago and should have saved it!
There’s a lot of ignorance among the media about military parades. It’s a fairly common thing among democracies during national/independence/liberation day celebrations. France, Latin American countries, India, Taiwan and South Korea all do it.

I’m not a parade person, but if you’re gonna have parades, a military parade is definitely less of an eyesore than a bunch of sissies in leather playing grab-ass.
Agreed.
Even if it’s only MIL vets and members, and not technology (missiles, etc), it still strikes of the military state.
Someone said beef up Vet or Mem day, or July 4, which is fine.
Also an expense for no good reason.
Bet protection is worked out and any attack on the event would make the perps and/or their controllers not want to do it again.
Many Freepers feel the same way ...
In-service deployed troops re-taking Paris?
Not at all the same.
Neither, were parades for our returning troops AFTER an actual WAR ended.
“authoritarian” (for ABC & NBC) means: patriotism, strength, determination, masculinity, American, plus other sundry evils.
“This is the kind of stuff you saw in the old Soviet Union and see today in North Korea.”
The Pentagon put on a much more severe type show for Ronald Reagan, in case you forgot.
