I read somewhere that this property was owned by an 88 yr old woman who died recently. She had managed to get back art stolen by Nazis. Last of her particular line in Austria IIRC.
No info on who her heirs are - likely some trust. If they sold it below market, also could mean that money was needed sooner rather than later.

Best case scenario...’someone’ intercepted and ‘liberated’ the letter. Name of sender concealed for their safety.
‘Someone’ knows the sender. Brooks will deny she ever saw it. Just guessing...
Sounds too real to be fake. (unlike the ‘russian’ dossier)
PS. The date stamp received really means nothing...sender might also be the ‘liberator’?
