A man has opened fire on pedestrians in the Italian city of Macerata, injuring several African migrants in an attack that police said appeared to be racially motivated.
Local media reported that at least six migrants, five men and a woman, had been shot by a man driving and firing from his car window.
Police told residents to stay out of the way and avoid open places before announcing that a man had been arrested.
The state broadcaster, Rai, said the suspect was a 28-year-old white Italian man from Macerata. Police later published a photo of him, with an Italian flag draped over his shoulders, being taken away by armed officers.
Corriere della Sera reported that a man had fired from a car window at two young African people shortly after 11am local time, wounding one. A short while later two other people, including a woman, were shot.
By the afternoon the tally of victims had risen to six, with one suffering life-threatening injuries, according to the city’s mayor, Romano Carancini.
The shootings happened days after the dismembered body of an 18-year-old Italian woman, Pamela Mastropietro, was discovered in two suitcases near Macerata, in the Marche region around the city, about 125 miles (200km) north-east of Rome.
A 29-year-old Nigerian man has been arrested in connection with the woman’s death.

Odd, when a ROP mass murder happens LEOs are always stumped as to the perps’ motivation.
I think you'll find few locals who are outraged over the actions of the shooter, particularly after Pamela Mastropietro's brutal murder at the hands of a very much unwanted African migrant.
Do you suppose the brutal murder and dismemberment of Pamela Mastropietro was also racially motivated? Or did she just bring it on herself by dressing provocatively? < / sarcasm >

When we went to Italy our safety procedures all revolved around minimizing exposure to their invader “immigrants”. Had a great time but those fecal swine are all over the place.
The locals are irrelevant.
This story may go viral and affect the issue far more than this one town.

That story wasn’t worthy of the leftist Guardian.
Because running for office would definitely help staunch the flow of migrants into italy? The same “offices” that allowed this to happen in the first place? The same “offices” that side with the immigrants, and smack down any citizen or group who dares do something about it?
It’s just a matter of time before Italians take matters into their own hands, and I don’t think their government will be able to stop it.

And this is just the sort of scenario that the totalitarians are trying to set up. Push the people to their limits by flooding them with hostile aliens. Wait for some jerk to do something like this, which(they are hoping) trigger more such attacks. Then swoop in with a dictator to restore law and order.
This has been the “progressive” plan in all of the Western countries including the USA.
Hillary and Obama did this when they allowed Libya to be plunged into chaos.
The only way to stem this is to deliberately sink the boats bringing them over. Send a few of them to the bottom of the Mediterranean and migrants may weigh other options.

Those 3rd and 4th world “migrants” just don’t mix with civilized people. I saw them in Athens - you could smell them before you could see them.
Why aren’t they sent back HOME. Now that Obama is gone the wars seem to have died down so there isn’t that excuse for “migrating”.
