Letter and Tweet at link.
Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee are calling for an immediate meeting with officials from the FBI and Department of Justice over the claims made in the memo drafted by Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.).
The letter, spearheaded by ranking member Rep. Jerrod Nadler (D-N.Y.), is directed to committee chairman Rep. Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.). In it, Nadler asks Goodlatte to arrange a meeting with FBI Director Christopher Wray and other representatives from the Justice Department to examine the "talking points" that he says Republicans are using to "discredit the work of the FBI and Special Counsel Robert Mueller."
"It is imperative that we hear directly from these officials about the security and law enforcement implications of making this information public," Nadler wrote.
"It is also important that we hear about any inaccuracies or key omissions from the Nunes document," he added.
President Trump plans to release a memo drafted by Nunes purporting to detail surveillance abuses by the federal government to be made public despite warnings from the FBI that the document contains inaccurate statements and omissions of fact.
The president is OK with it, a White House official told reporters traveling with Trump aboard Air Force One. I doubt there will be any redactions. Its in Congresss hands after that.
As expressed during our initial review, we have grave concerns about material omissions of fact that fundamentally impact the memos accuracy," the bureau said in a statement.
Nunes has dismissed the FBI's criticism and accused the bureau of running a counterintelligence operation based off of unverified information during the 2016 election.
"Its clear that top officials used unverified information in a court document to fuel a counterintelligence investigation during an American political campaign. Once the truth gets out, we can begin taking steps to ensure our intelligence agencies and courts are never misused like this again, Nunes said.
I agree.
By focusing on the accuracy of the information while saying nothing about whether it compromises national security, the FBI has basically approved the release of the Nunes memo.
I think they are Judge shopping. ABA already on board.
YES!
Just release the darn thing and end all of this whining and crying, posturing and drama.
President Trump said 100% release so do it - in original form with no changes or deletions to protect the guilty.
Naaah...I think it’s genuine flopsweat. They are having aneurysms by the dozen.
Kinda new around here, ain’t ya Bozo?
What’s the little smirk?
Is he fantasizing about train wrecks?
In Walmart
They’re pretending they’re trying to stop the memo. The truth is they know what’s in it and they know they can’t stop the release.
Everytime his name came up back during the Cigar era people would post dancing gerbil gifs. He was 4 times the size he is now
I also laughed my back side off about it
Dersh is getting up there in years. I wonder if he’ll see the light before he croaks. Seems like he’s figuring out what’s what when it comes to Rats vs GOP, and is realizing he’s been bamboozled for decades.
Would you expect anything less from a paid disruptor?
Conservatron has been here for two months and so far has posted:
About President Trump, He made himself look a fool and came across as a teenager from a California Valley high school.
Thinks the lovebirds texts are two dudes at work talking about the crazy 2016 election.

Don't you just LOVE it.
This smells like an implicit intimidation strategy - figure out a way they can use this later on for impeachment purposes. I hope they try it. Trump will make them rue the day.
No. Not even close to paid.
Regardless, what do my personal views have to do with the Wall street jpurnal reporti g today that Carter Page was on the radar in 2013 prior to the steele document?
“Given enough time in a 4x8 cell and they will sing like Tweety Bird.”
But JERROLD NADLESS is so effing fat, he wouldn’t fit in a 4x8 cell!!
They’re all in it together.
I’d better split before the cops got there.
