Yeah, and too many here fell for it. One would think they would have learned to consider the source by now, and wait for it to come straight from the horse's mouth.
Despite all the hand-wringing and theatrics of the last few weeks, I’m sure Wray always knew better than anyone else that this memo is going to be released.
The MSM creates a phony story and then debunks it as breaking news.
How many times during all of this has one thing been reported and then another turned out to be true. Only time will tell.
It would be crazy of him to quit. The House Committee is observing all of the procedural requirements. They can release what they want if the President does not object within five days, in writing, with specific reasons for his objections.
All Wray can do is lobby the President to object to the document. If Wray threatens to quit, he would be quitting because his boss, the President, didn’t knuckle under to Wray’s requests and try to block the release. That would be absurd. (Not that absurd things are that unusual in our government these days).
Why would he say anything else to “would you quit if the memo is released?”
