Chris Matthews has taken Trump-hatred to a new level. On his MSNBC show this evening, Matthews analogized Trump to someone . . . who was charged with murder.
Said Matthews:
“Remember George Zimmerman, the stand-your-ground guy from Florida, who pulled a gun and killed somebody, in self-defense he said cause he had the right to fight anybody who approached him? And I get, that’s what the president here is doing.”

Uh...Chris. George Zimmerman didn’t kill somebody who simply approached him. He killed someone who knocked him down, straddled him, and was smashing his head into the ground. That’s self defense.
“approaches you” or attempts to murder you by smashing your skull into the pavement. meh. same diff. right?
From what we know of Trayvon, Zimmerman probably prevented him from killing someone in the future (aside from saving his own life, or at least keeping his head from being smashed in against the ground). That boy was headed for bigtime trouble, even without George.
Matthews blows the racist dog whistle.
Chris Mathews has proven time and time again that he is one of the stupidest men on television.

I think John Favreau thru Vallerie Jarrett is writing and producing these phrases and talking points. Favreau was Obama’s nastiest little wordsmith speech writer. He has not returned to Hollywood so he is working for someone.
George Zimmerman was supposed to let Trayvon Martin beat him to death.
