We are in a time of the first ever mass conversions of Muslims, Father Mitch Pacwa SJ told me in a phone interview. God is doing a mighty work among them.
Pacwa said that mass conversions are happening even in very fundamentalist countries. There is rapidly growing number of conversions especially on the edges of the Muslim world in the western and southern parts of Africa, he said. Africa is now growing predominantly Christian despite crackdowns, Pacwa said.
Some of the noteworthy countries he mentioned include Iran, reported to have 3 million Christians, and Indonesia with reports of 2 million a year converting.
In Mongolia, the president opened the country to Christians and theres even an archbishop, Pacwa said. They built a Catholic school there too. If I was younger, I would have gone. He said that the desire for a Western education was the impetus to open up the country to the Catholic Church.
There are even conversions happening in many strict Muslim countries, according to Pacwa. He did not want to go on record with particulars for fear of increased retribution. Mass conversions are also being reported among refugees that are filling up the Christian churches left empty by Europeans. Many wonder if those are authentic conversions or just a response to improving their chances for amnesty, but time will tell.
Signs of this conversion are showing up in the U.S. too, Pacwa said. I was about to celebrate Mass at a Maronite church in San Diego and I said hi to a man who introduced himself as Achmad. I asked if he was a Christian. He said: Yes, I was recently baptized. He said he from Morocco. Christians do not have the name Ahmadthats a form of Mohammad.

Since I am an ex Catholic, I am qualified to chime in on that. When I was in school, I didnt know that some priests were perverts. I was an altar boy, but none of them ever touched me.
I remember one time, however, that I went to confession, and I was confessing my racy mortal sins. I think he was getting his jollies, listening to my sins, cuz he started asking me some extremely embarrassing questions about my mortal sins. 👎 I figured if I didnt answer him, he might not forgive my sins, so I totally lied to him, so he would forgive my sins. From then on, I lied to the confessional priest, a lot, cuz I didnt want him prying into my mortal sins. I wanted to enjoy my mortal sins, without some priest getting in the middle of my business. 😄
Later, I realized, after learning to do YOPIOS, that it was all a bunch of bunk. The priest cant even forgive you for jay walking, let alone anything else. It was then, that I became an ex Catholic. Praise God for that. 😇👍
I dont know if all Catholics think this way, but some certainly think, if you are correcting false doctrines, that you are tearing them down. How about if they disagree with us? Are they tearing us down? Inquiring minds want to know. 😁
Was the NT church the universal church? Yes it was. It was based on faith in Christ and Christ alone.
However, what we've seen over time is the deportation from that. Roman Catholicism came about around 200-300 AD.
Rome has advanced so many false teachings it's hard to identify them all. Roman Catholicism is essentially Jesus+Mary+Works+Baptism+, etc+etc.
And here's the Scripture to back up the prohibition against eating blood.
Don't eat the blood, the life is in the blood
Genesis 9:4 But you shall not eat flesh with its life , that is, its blood.
Leviticus 3:17 It shall be a statute forever throughout your generations, in all your dwelling places, that you eat neither fat nor blood.
Leviticus 7:26-27 Moreover, you shall eat no blood whatever, whether of fowl or of animal, in any of your dwelling places. Whoever eats any blood, that person shall be cut off from his people.
Leviticus 17:10-14 If any one of the house of Israel or of the strangers who sojourn among them eats any blood, I will set my face against that person who eats blood and will cut him off from among his people. For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it for you on the altar to make atonement for your souls, for it is the blood that makes atonement by the life. Therefore I have said to the people of Israel, No person among you shall eat blood, neither shall any stranger who sojourns among you eat blood.
Any one also of the people of Israel, or of the strangers who sojourn among them, who takes in hunting any beast or bird that may be eaten shall pour out its blood and cover it with earth. For the life of every creature is its blood: its blood is its life. Therefore I have said to the people of Israel, You shall not eat the blood of any creature, for the life of every creature is its blood. Whoever eats it shall be cut off.
Leviticus 19:26 You shall not eat any flesh with the blood in it. You shall not interpret omens or tell fortunes.
Deuteronomy 12:16 Only you shall not eat the blood ; you shall pour it out on the earth like water.
Deuteronomy 12:23 Only be sure that you do not eat the blood, for the blood is the life , and you shall not eat the life with the flesh.
Deuteronomy 15:23 Only you shall not eat its blood; you shall pour it out on the ground like water.
Acts 15:12-29 And all the assembly fell silent, and they listened to Barnabas and Paul as they related what signs and wonders God had done through them among the Gentiles. After they finished speaking, James replied, Brothers, listen to me. Simeon has related how God first visited the Gentiles, to take from them a people for his name. And with this the words of the prophets agree, just as it is written,
After this I will return, and I will rebuild the tent of David that has fallen; I will rebuild its ruins, and I will restore it, that the remnant of mankind may seek the Lord, and all the Gentiles who are called by my name, says the Lord, who makes these things known from of old.
Therefore my judgment is that we should not trouble those of the Gentiles who turn to God, but should write to them to abstain from the things polluted by idols, and from sexual immorality, and from what has been strangled, and from blood. For from ancient generations Moses has had in every city those who proclaim him, for he is read every Sabbath in the synagogues.
Then it seemed good to the apostles and the elders, with the whole church, to choose men from among them and send them to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas. They sent Judas called Barsabbas, and Silas, leading men among the brothers, with the following letter:
The brothers, both the apostles and the elders, to the brothers who are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia, greetings. Since we have heard that some persons have gone out from us and troubled you with words, unsettling your minds, although we gave them no instructions, it has seemed good to us, having come to one accord, to choose men and send them to you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul, men who have risked their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. We have therefore sent Judas and Silas, who themselves will tell you the same things by word of mouth. For it has seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us to lay on you no greater burden than these requirements: that you abstain from what has been sacrificed to idols, and from blood, and from what has been strangled, and from sexual immorality. If you keep yourselves from these, you will do well. Farewell.
Matthew 26:29 I tell you I will not drink again of this fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new with you in my Fathers kingdom.
Mark 14:25 Truly, I say to you, I will not drink again of the fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new in the kingdom of God.
Luke 22:18 For I tell you that from now on I will not drink of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.
John 6:63 It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is no help at all. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life.
Paul also tells us this in Romans.
He sure sounds confident to me.
8But what does it say? THE WORD IS NEAR YOU, IN YOUR MOUTH AND IN YOUR HEARTthat is, the word of faith which we are preaching,
9that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;
10for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.
11For the Scripture says, WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.
12For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him;
13for WHOEVER WILL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED.
Romans 10:8-13 NASB
Say what????
Lying....not a mortal sin in Roman Catholicism?
I can see why ya'll would want to make that claim.
Ya'll would have to be at confession every day....oh, wait....that's Roman Catholicism period.
Salvation is earned through works??? Something we've long known about Roman Catholicism.
Christianity on the other hand says the following:
8For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. Eph 2:8-9 NASB
No.
We are merely pointing out your 73,456 denomination's errors (one at a time) and how you are going to HELL for them!!
--Catholic_Wannabe_Dude(Hail Mary)
We Catholics don't rely so much on the accuracy* of the things taught us; but on the AUTHORITY of those that teach them TO us.
--Catholic_Wannabe_Dude(Hail Mary: who holds us Catholics in complete unity)
*Romans 14:1
Accept the one whose faith is weak, without quarreling over disputable matters.
You keep posting all these irrelevant scriptures about blood; when you KNOW we do NOT drink blood!
We merely sip some wine.
Is it OUR fault that GOD chooses to turn it INTO blood in our system??
Sheesh!!
--Catholic_Wannabe_Dude(Hail Mary; who ASSURES us of our salvation!)
LOL, I think not. Mary was a nice woman, and chosen by God, she she is not a demigoddess.
Since I dont want to commit the sin of necromancy, I dont pray to Mary. I dont mind committing the sin of presumption, but I dont mess with the big N (necromancy) since that would be committing the big M (mortal sin) 👎😩 I was never a Catholic wanna be dude. I was the real thing. 👎
Have you not read her PROMISES???
(Given to St. Dominic and Blessed Alan de la Roche)
1 | Whoever shall faithfully serve me by the recitation of the Rosary, shall receive powerful graces. |
2. | I promise my special protection and the greatest graces to all those who shall recite the Rosary. |
3. | The Rosary shall be a powerful armor against hell, it will destroy vice, decrease sin, and defeat heresies |
4. | It will cause virtue and good works to flourish; it will obtain for souls the abundant mercy of God; it will withdraw the hearts of people from the love of the world and its vanities, and will lift them to the desire of eternal things. Oh, that souls would sanctify themselves by this means. |
5. | The soul which recommends itself to me by the recitation of the Rosary, shall not perish. |
6. | Whoever shall recite the Rosary devoutly, applying Himself to the consideration of its Sacred Mysteries shall never be conquered by misfortune. God will not chastise Him in His justice, he shall not perish by an unprovided death; if he be just, he shall remain in the grace of God, and become worthy of eternal life. |
7. | Whoever shall have a true devotion for the Rosary shall not die without the Sacraments of the Church. |
8. | Those who are faithful to recite the Rosary shall have during their life and at their death the light of God and the plentitude of His graces; at the moment of death they shall participate in the merits of the Saints in Paradise. |
9. | I shall deliver from purgatory those who have been devoted to the Rosary. |
10. | The faithful children of the Rosary shall merit a high degree of glory in Heaven. |
11. | You shall obtain all you ask of me by the recitation of the Rosary. |
12. | All those who propagate the Holy Rosary shall be aided by me in their necessities. |
13. | I have obtained from my Divine Son that all the advocates of the Rosary shall have for intercessors the entire celestial court during their life and at the hour of death |
14. | All who recite the Rosary are my children, and brothers and sisters of my only Son, Jesus Christ. |
15. | Devotion of my Rosary is a great sign of predestination. |

Have you not read her PROMISES???
Yes, I have read them. I just dont believe them. I wonder if that offends anyone? Oh well. Such is life. I am no longer on the hamster wheel of death. 😄
HE had reason to be confident. He didnt put artificial restrictions on the Word of God.
As Paul said in 2 Thes. 2:15 So then, brethren, stand firm and hold to the traditions which you were taught, whether by word of mouth or by letter [fn]from us.
HE had reason to be confident. He didnt put artificial restrictions on the Word of God.
No He didn't....in fact, the Word tells us we can have confidence in our salvation in multiple places.
As Paul said in 2 Thes. 2:15 So then, brethren, stand firm and hold to the traditions which you were taught, whether by word of mouth or by letter [fn]from us.
And what were those "traditions"?
The papacy? Nope.
Rome as the final authority? Nope
Praying to Mary? Nope
The Rosary? Nope
Transubstantiation? Nope.
Purgatory? Nope
Priests can't marry? Nope
I could go on, but as you can see all of those were much later developments of Roman Catholicism.....not the NT church.
That is not what that verse says. Moreover, you're conflating teachings.
According to Revisionist doctrine that's not possible. And the verse you cite is referring to pagans, not Christians.
You can't have it both ways. If someone is saved according to your doctrine, you can't go back and say they're not when they become convinced your theology is wrong.
PT:That is not what that verse says. Moreover, you're conflating teachings.
One has to read the entire passage in context to properly understand it.
If one does, one sees Jesus is talking about belief in Him as essential for salvation....not literally eating/drinking His flesh and blood.
If the passage in question is read in isolation it leads to an incorrect theology.
Roman Catholicism makes a similar error in understanding John 2:3-5. They've conflated this to believe Mary tells Jesus what to do and He does it no questions asked.
Then why did he let many disciples leave, rather than clarify the teaching?
You cant have it both ways. Was Christ teaching Judaism, or teaching what his disciples should be and do?
if a nazi officer comes into your home and asks is you are hiding any Jews (which you are)and you answer "no"....that's a lie.....is that a MORTAL SIN??????
