No He didn't....in fact, the Word tells us we can have confidence in our salvation in multiple places.

And what were those "traditions"?
The papacy? Nope.
Rome as the final authority? Nope
Praying to Mary? Nope
The Rosary? Nope
Transubstantiation? Nope.
Purgatory? Nope
Priests can't marry? Nope
I could go on, but as you can see all of those were much later developments of Roman Catholicism.....not the NT church.

Too bad that so many CURRENT 'traditions' of the church were NEVER taught or even hinted at by the ECF's.
