In 2008, the couple took their three daughters, then ages 5, 4 and 1½, on a vacation to San Diego. They snapped more than 100 photos during the trip, like parents do, including several of the girls playing together during bath time. When they returned to their home in Peoria, Ariz., they dropped the cameras memory stick off at a Walmart for developing.
Within a day, a police detective came knocking.
A Walmart employee had flagged the bath-time photos as pornographic, the detective told the parents. One showed the girls wrapped in towels with their arms around each other; another showed their exposed bottoms.

We have bearskin rug pics of all the kids from 25 years ago.
About 2004 I went to pick up some film. The woman at the pharmacy knew me and said that she remembered that I said that the film was from my 12 year olds camera. Evidently she had taken some pics of her baby sis in the tub. They did not call the police blacked out all the pics and told me to tell my daughter to mind not to do that in the future. It was only a year or two later that I realized what a favor they did for me.
I just realized We are already living under Sharia
which is developed to manage men and women who have not been able to police their own appetites enough to let us all be safe within the culture. They are savages.
We are being asked to submit in order not to inflame the savages for they cannot manage themselves.
from another thread I would change Catholic to Christian:
Those countries in Europe which are still influenced by priests, are exactly the countries where there is still singing and dancing and coloured dresses and art in the open-air. Catholic doctrine and discipline may be walls; but they are the walls of a playground. Christianity is the only frame which has preserved the pleasure of Paganism. We might fancy some children playing on the flat grassy top of some tall island in the sea. So long as there was a wall round the cliffs edge they could fling themselves into every frantic game and make the place the noisiest of nurseries. But the walls were knocked down, leaving the naked peril of the precipice. They did not fall over; but when their friends returned to them they were all huddled in terror in the centre of the island; and their song had ceased.
“In today’s warped world, you could get 15 years in the slammer, just for possession of such a pix...”
—
That’s the problem - prosecutorial abuse. Along with the lack of common sense.
“BTW, the pix is long gone, it was lost in a flood that also took about a dozen of my guns.”
—
You can replace the guns, but not the photos. We’re probably the last generation who’s baby pics didn’t come off of cellphones and there’s a lot of wonderful memories of people, times & places on those old film pics.

Tell me about it - I come from a big family, so probably was a good amount of bare baby photos taken or running around half nekkid as toddlers like to do.
“They did not call the police blacked out all the pics and told me to tell my daughter to mind not to do that in the future. It was only a year or two later that I realized what a favor they did for me.”

I’m of two minds on that - first, that it was very thoughtful of the lady to warn you, bless her - and “2nd mind”: she shouldn’t be placed in such a position by whatever authority to monitor other people’s pics.
It’s the same as when LE, in effect, deputizes computer repair people to conduct warrantless searches - without any reason, yet.
CPS thugs ignore the guilty and destroy the innocent.
Every liberal is a violent totalitarian thug.

G. K. Chesterton!
Good post, too.
The most amazing thing here is that The Ninth Circus actually made a sane judgement.

I TOTALLY and absolutely agree.
we are being turned into a leftist totalitarian nanny state with millions of eyes and we happily carry our own chains in our electronics
I print my own photos at home.
“I print my own photos at home.”

Darkroom? (That’s probably racist, you know.)
That doesnt necessarily keep you safe.
If you are like me you have pictures on your computer. I rarely ever print pictures. My wife occasionally gets pictures printed at Sams Club. I always put the pictures she wants on a blank thumb drive for her to take along. If she had her way she would take the camera flash card. I tell her it easier to (and safer) look through the fotos at home than to stand in front of their machine and sort through the whole card for the pictures you want to print.
But to the point, those pictures on your computer are just as incriminating as those that this couple dropped off at Walmart. If for some reason you come under suspicion of a crime and your computer is taken as evidence those photos will be seen and you could be indicted for baby pictures.
I have pictures of my oldest grandson belly surfing in our bathtub. They are great pictures. But they have never been printed and except for my wife and I no one has ever seen them. Someday when he is older and engaged they will be brought out for viewing.
There was a story a long time back where a father was accused of child abuse when he kissed his baby son on the tummy; it was witnessed through the window of his house by a passerby.
From this it would appear that the CPS employee without reviewing any of the evidence collected that day decided to take the children.
On only the evidence of the Walmart photos which had no frontal nudity the CPS worker decided to take the children and put them in foster homes.
Does it never occur to these people that it is traumatic for the children to be forcibly separated from their parents. As far as children that age is concerned they are being kidnapped. There is no difference.
This person and the supervisor should never work in social services again.
I'd go much further
I don’t think we have any unclothed photos. I have never cared for that sort of thing, although an occasional one is harmless. Some of our pictures with the reptiles might set off Social Services, though.
I think that is where we are today. And, you are right, I do have pics of my daughters when they were less than a year old, in the bathtub. Who doesn't?
I would do "raspberries" on my eldest daughter's tummy because her laugh was just so wonderful. I remember the first time I heard my eldest daughter laugh, as an infant, and I actually got a feeling of joy listening to it. Now, I would be jailed for doing such a thing.
My grandad says the same thing. If he were in school right now he’d have been suspended so many times or would be in jail.
