The White House does not have to approve the release of a currently classified memo assembled within the House of representatives which purports to display extensive abuse of FISA authority within the FBI, deputy press secretary Hogan Gidley told WMAL Wednesday morning.
“We don’t have to approve it. They have the right to de-classify the document,” Gidley told Daily Caller editorial director Vince Coglianese and WMAL host, citing “legal minds” consulted by the executive branch.

If it looks like this will be suppressed, some brave Congressman will probably have an anonymous summary of the 4th pages slipped under the door of a true news organization.
It would be glorious if President Trump read it out loud at a press conference. On the other hand, it was Nunes and the House Intelligence Committee who did the work of putting it together, and for giving credit where it’s due, I would favor having Nunes be the one who has it declassified and widely disseminated. I think the White House just told him to do it.
I hope you are correct. All this memo has done is give more time to the Democraps. The Swamp may be losing but there is no need to overplay the hand. TWith these high stakes Trump needs a little luck too. He can never count on the spineless Repubs.
I heard a GOP interviewed on radio today. He said Nunes is “working on” getting the memo released. He also said that all that is needed is for the committee to vote on its release.
So how freaking long does it take to convene a congressional committee for a vote?
I guarantee you, if the roles were reversed, the Dems would have had this memo out already last week.

I defer to your knowledge of the situation. I would hope that the four page summary takes in to account that the names of people who might key would not be released. Great care must be taken to protect the good guys.

WH doesn’t need to sign off; they have five days to object. If they formally or informally waive that right; there’s no need for them to do anything.
Not knowing is what makes them experts. That is why there are so many of them in the Swamp.
