The White House has tentatively agreed to provide legal status to as many as 1.2 million so-called Dreamers — far more than the 690,000 currently protected under an expiring Obama-era program — as part of a broader immigration deal, according to three people familiar with the negotiations.

They can’t do much about it just as we in AZ can’t do much about McCain. The local RNC is corrupt and won’t close primaries. Democrats pick the GOP candidate and the dem candidates. They can’t lose and we can’t win.

Maybe we can get the National to insist there will be no money until primaries are closed.

An anonymous source who announces Trump is going to violate his promises.

Where have I seen this one before?

I’ll wait to see what President Trump DOES, rather than panic over an anonymous report.

i will wait and see what the deal is. Do not underestimate Trump. If we get full permanent funding for the border wall, limited chain migration and eliminate lottery visa I think it is a win. The Republicans were never going to get 100% of what they want with immigration reform. Because of nits like Lindsey Graham on the Republican side they would need more than a 60 vote threshold. Lets get what we can get now because there is no guarantee Republicans will have all 3 branches in 2019.

Amnesty or no Amnesty. The point is will .gov enforce the law. That’s all that matters now or in the future. Even if there is a amnesty now, going forward are we gonna enforce the law.

I would be willing to say its okay if it doesn’t occur until AFTER the wall is built and ALL immigration is stopped for the next fifty years starting now.

'If we get full permanent funding for the border wall, limited chain migration and eliminate lottery visa I think it is a win.'

Rubbish. What's the point of amnesty, if there is no wall or enforcement of current law. Promise to pay for a wall, is no wall.

I have never been able to figure out why it is that every politician, every conservative commentator, when talking about immigration, will ALWAYS quality it by pledging their support for more immigration.

Now, it is country, mom, apple pie, and love for massive immigration, when you want to signal your bonafides, that your mind is straight, that you are a true blue American.

Liberals are desperate to save face over their Party’s humiliating failure in the gov shutdown.

They make up stories like this to try and convince their shattered base that something good came from their failure.

The states sued to stop DAPA, Obama’s second illegal amnesty for illegal aliens.
No one sued to stop DACA.
DAPA was based on DACA so one could make the case that it is illegal, but there is no ruling.

The RNC and most state parties are still controlled by the Bush League Republicans who want to complete Daddy Bush’s Plan for North Mexico.
They have been preventing US from electing anyone who would side with US and the rule of law for decades.

Folks really need to take a pill....

The Dems literally just had their collective arses handed to them over DACA....

Any deal that follows is going to be so weighted toward Trump that birthright citizenship very likely will be removed before Trump leaves office.

Seriously folks, stop playing small ball

2)If chain migration is limited to the nuclear family it will be worth cutting a deal.
_____________________________________________________

No, it won’t. It doesn’t address legislated end to birthright citizenship, allowing more anchor babies. This is the underlying element causing immigration havoc, and combined with chain migration, have put us where we are today. The only country with birthright citizenship. None of the countries supplying DACA aliens allows birthright citizenship like the U.S. does. Our immigration laws should be no less restricting than the laws of the illegal aliens countries of origin.

As they’re not documented it is a guess - one that came from Democrats, so now consider the real number.

I’d also say it is to whip up hope among the illegals, only to crush their spirits when it doesn’t happen. The left NEEDS agitators, this is how they create them. They WANT chaos. They NEED to portray this administration as nasty and evil, they’ll laugh at the ensuing violence.

Disgusting.

That kind of propaganda tactic is for dividing Republicans, but generally, voters aren’t stupid enough to fall for it. So people who try to appear to be duped by it and shriek against supporting the Trump Administration and against keeping the Republican majority in Congress are trolls.

Any improvement in policy or law is an improvement. Further advances can be made in the future. Democrats are well practiced in incrementalism. Republicans should be capable of doing the same to win against Democrat efforts.

So any small measure of improvement gained by the Trump Administration and Republicans in Congress is still an improvement. It’s winning.
