I won 4th!!!
Wow!
Thats like in the top ten, isnt it?
What did I do?
I took fourth in a hundred yard dash race once.
There was three of us.
I was so slow that the first place guy ran back to the start and ran again and still beat me. He took first and third.
I looked good running, though.

The music for this inspirational hymn was written by the great Baptist singer and song writer George Stebbins. Henry Burr, the singer, one of the hottest recording artists in the years prior to World War I, is accompanied by a reed organ, an instrument found in many well-to-do homes at the time.

This song tells the story of the birth, marriage and death of a Swiss mountaineer and concludes with a promise of eternal life for all believers. The life of the protagonist is similar to that of someone I knew very well.

When depressions occur, this thought-provoking song should inspire you not to be so depressed.
