I hate the term post-modern.
Modern:
ADJECTIVE
1.of or relating to the present or recent times as opposed to the remote past:
synonyms: present-day · contemporary · present · current · twenty-first-century
Post-modern is the future.
I always thought it was a dumb term too, but it is not about a time period. It is about a different cultural norm. In other words, what is “post modern” can exist in the “modern era”.
If I remember correctly, the term was first used to describe a type of painting that came after impressionism. Impressionism was considered modern. What came after it would be after modern, post modern.
It seems to me that she buries herself, and in fact Peterson never “goes there”, ( at least as long as was able to watch ) , that is to mention that women have the babies. I mean , Sheesh.
... It’s kind of interesting that this is still true, I think ... maybe not forever ... what then?
Peterson is a voice in the wilderness.
Catholic and Conservative Radio the Way it Should Be
Toronto professor Jordan Peterson takes on gender-neutral pronouns .
His employers have warned that, while they support his right to academic freedom and free speech, he could run afoul of the Ontario Human Rights code and his faculty responsibilities should he refuse to use alternative pronouns when requested.
She’s a bonehead. She is utterly incapable of understanding anything he’s saying.
Within 2 minutes into this video I was for sure this woman was a man hating feminist by the way she was hitting him hard with gotcha questions. Hope by the end he has got her snivelling like a little child.
This wasn’t actually a debate, though it may have felt that way.
She’s supposed to be interviewing him. It was more of an attempt to sabotage him by repeatedly subverting what he was trying to say.
If you want to get smashed super quick while making a game out of it take a shot every time she says, “So you’re saying...”
My goodness, I hope someone called Health and Safety after that interview. All the straw men piled on the floor around her must have been a huge fire hazard.
And they are the Axis, and the battles they are fighting are Stalingrad, Midway, El Alamein, etc.
Postmodernism is a philosophy. It is the philosophy that modern leftism is grounded in.
From Wikipedia...
Postmodern philosophy is a philosophical direction which is skeptical of certain foundational assumptions of Western philosophy, of the 18th-century Enlightenment, and of philosophy in general.[1] It questions the importance of power relationships, personalization, and discourse in the “construction” of truth and world views. Postmodernists deny that an objective reality exists, and deny that there are objective moral values. One’s idea of good and another’s idea of evil are to be equally valid from the viewpoint of a postmodernist.[2][1]

Relativism by another name.
And your initial response, that it's the future, should suggest to you why they've chosen it. They want us to feel doomed to repression, presumably under their ægis.
The idea is to get with their program and pass on the desire for better (more modern) times and revert to the more primitive, pristine state.
Sure, where life was "nasty, brutish, and short."
See? It's like everything else that the Progs are behind, it carries with it a need to double-think what they are really up to. With their coining of post-modern they have begun to take us back. Like toilets that don't work well. Like insisting we leave kindling on forest and meadow floors awaiting the next spontaneous combustion (let alone a lure to arsonists and terrorists) to destroy homes in addition to wildlife.
I'm not suggesting you accept their term, but understand why it exists. And indeed you should hate it.
For myself, because of their ongoing assault on our comforts, I use the term contemporary times instead. I wish to reserve the term modern for a future that is more modern and not get-over-the-pursuit-of-the-modern as they wish.
