I work on a mass notification system for a hospital complex with about 5,000 employees. This type of thing is incredibly easy to do if you are not paying attention.
Our “live” system requires a pretty detailed password combination. But I’ve sent out smaller group notifications by mistake.
Of course, one doesn’t make that mistake twice.
“This is not a drill” is a Pearl Harbor reference. I smell a rat hear.
My son called from Oahu to let us know where he was in case he needed to be dug out, latter he called to say it was a mistake. Was a major scare to the people in the islands. And yes they have no where to hide except the bathroom. No designated shelters.
Very scary if it was him. Hope they secure the tsunami warning system pronto.
False alarm... but 35 MINUTES before that news was handed out. For cryin’ out loud, people... this is something you CAN’T screw up!!
