When it comes to President Trump and race, there is a predictable cycle. He makes a remark that seems racist, and people engage in an extended debate about whether he is personally racist. His critics say he is. His defenders argue for an interpretation in which race plays a secondary role (such as: Haiti really is a worse place to live than Norway).
Its time to end this cycle.
No one except Trump can know what Trumps private thoughts or motivations are. But the public record and his behavior are now abundantly clear. Donald Trump treats black people and Latinos differently than he treats white people.
And that makes him a racist.
Is it possible to defend some of his racially charged statements by pointing out that something other than race might explain them? Sure. Is it possible that he doesnt think of himself as a racist who views white people as superior to nonwhite people? Yes.
But the definition of a racist the textbook definition, as Paul Ryan might say is someone who treats some people better than others because of their race. Trump fits that definition many times over:
Trumps real-estate company was sued twice by the federal government in the 1970s for discouraging the renting of apartments to African-Americans and preferring white tenants, such as Jews and executives.

The US feral government treats black people and Latinos differently than it treats white people.
Obvious conclusion?
It is not “race” but, yes, it is CULTURE and no, not all cultures are the same nor have the same respect for the same values. What is “wrong” about respecting, desiring and keeping your own culture? NOTHING.
Time to say it?!!! When havent they been saying it?
The New York Times, where if you arent a leftist, you are a racist.
Remember the New York Times has no trouble calling those of us on the right and those of us who live in rural regions: hicks, rednecks, hillbillies, knuckle-draggers, mouth-breathers, etc., on a regular basis.
Memo to the NYT: Haiti and Africa are chitholes.
Members of Congress should not be causing mayhem with false accusations. The President said nothing about race, and he did not say “take them out.”

Never said anything derogatory about Haitians other than Haiti is, obviously, a very poor and troubled country. Never said take them out. Made up by Dems. I have a wonderful relationship with Haitians. Probably should record future meetings - unfortunately, no trust!
And that makes him a racist because he’s not anti white people and anti law like a good old boy liberal club member.
I have yet to see any good evidence that Trump is racist.
“Donald Trump treats black people and Latinos differently than he treats white people.
And that makes him a racist.”
Well, so does Google, and Harvard University. So I guess we can say the New York Times has declared Google and Harvard to be racist institutions, right?
“treats black people and Latinos differently than he treats white people. “
By that definition all liberals are racists because they believe that blacks and Latinos are incapable of doing well for themselves.
By that definition affirmative action is racism.
Bet they didn’t see that coming.
Time to admit that the New York Times is racist.
Why in the world would the New York Times assume that Haiti is a sh!thole because the majority of the population is black?
Why in the world would the New York Times assume that all illegal aliens are Mexican? or that illegal aliens and criminals are criminals because they are Hispanic? (as a Hispanic I am offended). They are criminals because they are criminals.
Why in the world would the New York Times assume that Mexico’s economic drug and crime problems are because they are Hispanic?
That is ridiculous. ENOUGH with this bigotry and racism!
Every problem listed can be fixed by improving the economy, instituting better forms of government and work ethic, and most of all better EDUCATION. It has nothing to do with the color of one’s skin.
I am reminded by my grandfather’s grandfather. An uneducated slave that could not read and that worked as a cook after his emancipation. His son, my grandfather’s father went to school, graduated college, and became a celebrated architect.
All in ONE generation.
All because EDUCATION and economic opportunity.
Can someone tell me about this whole “apartment” thing?
His Father’s Real Estate Company was sued.
Apparently his Father preferred Tenants who actually paid the Rent to those who did not.
