I’m not gay or republican and I’ve still be ghosted by a few (former) friends. They were unable to tolerate any discussion of political issues that was contrary to their own lefty dogma. Their loss, not mine.
BTW I know many closeted gay republicans. Of course they are “out” on their gay status but closeted on their party affiliation except to like-minded folks. Then again, this goes for pretty much everyone here in California that doesn’t have a commie party membership.
The guy also has a Masters in Economics from the London School of Economics and is a small businessman trying to make it in LA. Those two things will tend to open anyone’s eyes. Ironically, gays in Europe lean to the right on immigration issues because they are scared to death by Muslims.
Here in France, there are some high-profile attacks and even murders of gays by Muslims and there are a lot of no-go zones for gays, guess the demographic of those areas.
