WHDH) Former electronics giant Circuit City says it is making a comeback.

After i got out of the business in the 90s circut city was my go to place this is great news
A company that badly run isn’t going to ever win.
If it still existed all these years, staying hidden probably kept competent competitors from moving nearby and finishing off the carcass.
Oh Yay!
I so miss being rudely ignored by Circus City employees. I’m so glad they’re coming back.
Hard for electronics stores to compete with Amazon.
How many times can CC go out of business? This would be their second revival. New owners really don’t understand that the brand has no good will, and it’s a crowded market.
Why is it needed if there are Best Buys and the internet where you can order? It never had as much as Best Buy.
Staples is the same.
Wow! A web site. I'm so excited I can't contain myself. They must have hired an expensive consultant to come up with that sales strategy! Maybe they can direct people to visit their local Best Buy store to try products out then capture the sale themselves via their new website. Retail geniuses, I tell you!
Maybe they are going after the market segment that doesn't want Jeff Bezos to hit $110 billion net worth.
In my neck of the woods there was an Office Max and an Office Depot within walking distance of one another.
Kinda like a Walgreens and a CVS on opposite corners.
I never knew (never cared) if I was in Depot or Max - they both seemed the same with few shoppers and high prices.
Didn’t Depot take over Max? Or was it the other way around?
Any news on Crazy Eddie stores making a comeback?
Their prices are insane...
I remember what would become Circuit City as Wards TV at Azalea Mall in Richmond VA in the mid-70’s. My teenage self would stand in there and lust for the high-end/high-powered receiver and speakers.
A reel-to-reel or Bose speakers? Never could afford THOSE.
Azalea Mall has been an empty lot for 20 years or more, but I remember still seeing the mall sign out by Brook Road...
"When it comes to great stereo, you can't beat big speakers. I'm talking about BIG speakers with BIG woofers like this. Like the MX 10, the flagship of the DOMINATOR line. I have two myself... 30 inches of thigh-slappin', blood-pumpin' nuclear brain damage!!"
I used to get better deals from them than from Best Buy or from CompUSA. CompUSA... wonder if they’ll try a comeback too, since they were better for deals than Best Buy, but Circuit City still offered better deals. Recently (last 8 or so years), I’ve been getting my electronics and computer needs from Office Depot and sometimes Staples.
I still wish Circuit City had not gone out of business.
Malls are dying faster than the dinosaurs.
Ours is less than half occupied......................
You didn’t read it, did you?
“The company will showcase and sell products out of kiosks before opening up larger showrooms and retail locations.”
I wish them much success.
CC had idiots running the company.................
