A math education professor at Brooklyn College contends in a recent academic article that “meritocracy” in math classes is a “tool of whiteness.”

Ah, she isn't actually a math professor, but an education professor. Her position in the college appears superfluous.

Math is considered to be sort of a universal language. Basic principles would be the same across the universe.

Now we’re supposed to think there are neighborhoods in our own nation, where math is different.

The intellectual decay in this nation is astounding.

The culture in the movie Ideocracy is supposed to exist in 500 years from now, I believe. Someone can correct me on that if need be.

The point is, it’s beginning to look like it could take place in ten to twenty years universally across our nation, and in pockets of it right now.

Back in the 70s and 80s, Brooklyn College was regarded as a pretty good school. I walked through the campus in about 10 years ago (after the open enrollment types got hold of it) and it looked like a war zone.
